Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He is entirely too tired for the way life had turned it's hand against him. His father appears, alive!, only to disappear again. Selene and him become rulers only for his code of honor to remove him from power in the face of having taken justice from this Sulan fool's mate. Fool because not even a breath after his own brother Finley is killed under Diveen's watch, the damned "Diamond" king had decided that they were worthy allies. They let one of their own die in the heart of their very own territory. Unchallenged, unharmed, the murderer had even been able to take the body of their Queen's own imprint. He bristles more often than not, even when Selene is sleeping beside him. She was once a strictly mellowing factor in his life -- but now she had become the reason he could not exact vengeance - the reason he could not rise up against those who would otherwise upend his world.

He has taken to loping along the edge of his castle away from the kingdom, his very own land despite the overhead law passed down by his Aunt and the man she made his Uncle. He keeps his shaggy coat groomed out now, avoiding the salty itch if he was to leave in the tufts of shedding fur. The patrol is colder in the winter, colder and far more biting. Biting because his paw pads can feel the sharpness of the rocks beneath them as the cold enhances the sensations. The snows do not fall on the island, and the crisp breeze is not as crisp as it would be on the mainland, but feel it he does. His white eyes look across the expanse, first scanning over the whitened Glorall and then across the sheer cliffs facing the equally sheer cliffs of Diveen. He bares his teeth at the supposed allies, bares his teeth and allows the roiling hate to bubble up from his gut and between his teeth.

He fumes, he gnashes his teeth. He bristles and flattens his ears - and then with a snort, he turns away. He turns and continues onward towards the path he should have continued with a few irate minutes worth of growls prior. His head is held low, his eyes hard, his teeth still bared.
