Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Oh how it slams him back as that bullet is shot from Fate's smoking gun. His heart lurches in his chest and he is on the ground, crawling toward this perfect beauty. He sinks so low his belly catches upon the snow, and his gait is an awkward wobbling shuffle in her direction. Brilliant white floods his vision as he stares at her, colors all mixing together in such a brilliant display they blind him and turn his vision to ash. He cannot see her, no, but he can feel her. His heart taking on the flighty beat of her own as he speaks, her start causing a jolt to pass through him as if he had been shocked by lightning. He feels her tensing, feels her quickened breath as she prepares to flee and it does him physical harm to think of her running from him.

How pathetic he must look in her eyes, how feeble he must seem, and yet he does not get this impression from the way she feels to him. She hesitates however, and he can feel her ready to speak. His black ears move forward as he halts his breath, willing his heart to stop for that singular brief phrase that leaves her voice.

Stunning what those few syllables have done over his body. Like a wave washing sand clean from debris, or bringing messages in from the open ocean. Her lyrics filled his soul as the salt water from the ocean filled the tidal pools of the beaches, and each letter directed at him brought another form of life into that pool. He finds relief in her soothing balm of a voice, her bright tones affecting him in a way no other had, for once he was knocked speechless. But all too soon her song ceased and he found himself whining like a newborn whelp. "Speak again, I beg you, say anything else." His tone was pleading, his body curling about himself as the agony of this bond crashed down on him once again. Something within him seeming to want to reject the need that he felt. Perhaps, pride had gotten in the way of his fall, but no matter. Fate shoves the silly thing away and the ties increase about him.

He would look upon her face once more, this would surely solve the ache, but alas he cannot. His vision has been white washed from the blinding of her facade, the brilliant sheen had been cast over his eyes and his was a blank world. In time this would fade, but as he lay there, struck dumb in the shocking way of her glory, Ravan felt the burning need to hear her say anything, to talk about the grass beneath the very snow would have been perfectly fine with him.
