At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Hellene saw what effect her body’s response had had upon the teen in front of her – her audettes had pinned themselves, and a whimper had been let loose. Her plume had quickly tucked itself between her back legs and her hazy orbs quivered, showing the fear within her soul. The adult wondered what it was in the younger lupine’s past that made her react as such. Perhaps it was bad memories from her childhood that caused her such pain.

But as Hellene spoke, the fae who had called herself Aurora seemed to calm down. I am indeed sorry, I didn’t mean to anger you… you have a nice name though! The teen spoke with a frown, although the tone of her voice cheered up at the end of her monologue. “You did not anger me, dearie, merely frightened me.” After Hellene’s second set of words, the fae seemed to quickly liven up. No, silly. I used to play a game called ‘Agents’ when I was a little pup. It wasn’t for long though because my parents couldn’t tolerate my personality Hellen’s own kissers turned to a frown – so her suspicions were correct… it was indeed an unkind childhood that had supplied unpleasant memories to the teen. Hellene counted herself as lucky, then, to not have had all that unpleasant of a childhood. Hellene thought about asking the fae what had happened to her, but thought better of it seeing as the fae’s voice had fallen softer at the end of her speech. It was clearly a touchy subject.

So instead, Hellene allowed a smile to form as Aurora spoke again. I guess I’m a spy, but not an assassin. Killing people is bad, and I wouldn’t want people after me all the time trying to kill me. What rank are you, Hellene? Hellene paused, thinking. She had never played the agent game before, although she and Athene had certainly played a variety of imagination games whilst they were pups. What rank was she? It was a good question… what rank should she choose to play in this game that the teen was so keen upon playing. And then, there it was, ah yes, there was the answer. “You ask what rank I am? Ah, but it would not be wise to reveal my rank to another. It would bring my loyalty into question, and could ruin the goal of all my devious plans. So I cannot reveal to you my rank as of now. As for death, yes, indeed death is a nasty business, so I shall reveal to you only this – I am no assassin.

The fae slitted her amber eyes in a devious manner. “Now tell me, who is it that you are spying for, or who is it that you are supposed to spy upon?” Her voice lilted in an interrogatory fashion.
