Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

well, maybe I'm insane,
'cuz I keep doing the same damn thing

The sounds of the night are very welcoming to me. Okay, okay, so I can be out of it, I can be random, and I can change my mind of what I feel or want to be feeling at a moment's notice. Isn't that just precious. I still wouldn't mind some company, obviously, but the soft hum of insect song truly makes the night come alive sometimes. As though on cue, it only really took a couple of minutes for the fireflies to come around, flitting and beeping and making pretty, tiny lights around the trees and in between the swathes of moonlight. I happen to rather like that, it's really pretty.

One toe into the water, the ripples of reflected crimson make me smile as much as the lights. And, of course, I'm hearing the steps, quiet as they may be, of somebody else approaching. Head turned in the wolf's direction, I guess I'm a little bit... excited? Yeah, that's the working word, isn't it? A little bit faster than the tranquility you might expect from what I had just been doing. Smiling halfway, showing an "unguarded" facade and a welcomingly swaying little fluffy appendage, my eyes are searching his. I guess that it happens every time you meet somebody, but a few small jolts of eyes meeting eyes, the gazes in locked stare down, definitely makes it easier for me to smile more sometimes. Like now. A cutely mischievous look, it's my very trademark, after all.

Hi...

I think I started to understand half of what he just said, but it sounded a little off to me somehow. Like, I should know it, but I shouldn't. What's up with that? Eh, maybe it's me. You never know with these things. Was this somehow going to become an invitation to a silence contest? I guess my face must look just a little bit confused... or maybe "out of it"?.. but, still, either way. Whoever he is, he seems to be a cautious one. Here, let me fix that!

Bounding up to him quietly, I feel almost like my eyes should be sparkling like amber right about now. Is that what they look like? You're surely close enough to see them now, aren't you? Grinning in a cutesy little way and tilting my head to one side cockily, don't blame me for my tail wagging a little vainly. Or for the mischief in my way and in my look.

"You like?"

Waving the buff of my fluff of a tail again, I can tell you this much: if you don't play with me, I'm going to think you're a stick in the mud, the way you're looking at me right now.

"I don't really know what they're supposed to mean, but I like them!"

With a soft, short giggle, my back paws pull me back just enough from however close I actually got to him to sort of spin around to show off all of them. Well, all of the ones that anybody would ever get to see, anyway, at least. But my eyes are trained on searching for reactions, my whole face in "analyze" mode.

What can I say? You've made me curious!

you're a troublemaker, but, damn girl, it's like I love the trouble... and I can't even explain why
