aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

OOC- I’ll start a new post so that it can be Kal, Magic, and Tyson (the pup) :D

Kal sat quietly as Magic replied to his words. I do love the night. The bright sun has just been almost always too bright, even though the warmth it gives is quite wonderful. I have never felt the warmth of the sun since I was a small pup, and I have forgotten how delightful it feels as it hugs the fur and your pelt, loving you in every way. It had just been a habit of mind, but I think I will begin to change that. And yes, I understand your point of view as well. Kal paused, her words almost reminding him of the creatures that King Kong had told him about – creatures that shunned the light of day and creeped around in night. Kong had said that these were the monsters that had taken over Munashii Gekko… And so it was that the brute was relieved when Magic said that she did enjoy the warmth of sunlight and that she was considering returning to the light of day. Enjoying the night was one thing, something he could understand. Vampirical wolves, however, was not something that he would allow to poison the pack he had taken control of.

Well the terra will certainly be accommodating to accustoming you to the sunlight – the density of the firs greatly reduces the light that reaches the forest floor, so you will be able to get your orbs used to the light a little at a time. You do not want to blind yourself or cause unnecessary pain.” The brute was also gladdened that the fae seemed to agree with his point of view and opinions about how to revive the pack, and also about getting to know all of the members of the pack. Since the vote, Magic was the only current member that he had seen. He had not even seen Kong, although Kalgalath had insisted that he take on the role of Beta. Though Kong was the one he trusted the most, he had hoped that Kong would take on a more active role. Zig and Chiron were unseen, as was Glitch, though Magic accounted for his whereabouts as he needed time to think, which was understandable. The brute’s plume began to sway back and forth, thinking that he should organize a group bonding activity, perhaps a group hunt.

As Kal talked about his and Kong’s history, he was interested to see that the fae’s brows raised when his mouth uttered words about Munashii Gekko. Had she and Glitch been considering Munashii Gekko? Perhaps she had, given her fondness of the night. It was, indeed, a dark pack, though he knew little of the Alpha that currently ran the pack. As his monologue continued on and he spoke about Aindreas, he felt pulling at his heart strings. He had felt so very protective about that snowy pup, perhaps as a father would feel about a son, or as a brute would feel about his younger brother. The white titan had been often as of late… Magic’s nodding head stimulated his visionaries, bringing him back to the present, the here and the now. She was nodding as he spoke of the importance of loyalty. That was, indeed, a good sign – perhaps he could come to rely on Magic more in the future.

The brute dipped his head in thanks to Magic’s words – she agreed to share some of her meal with the pup. She even offered to do it in the light of the day – it seemed that she would walk in the sunlight sooner than he had originally thought. Although Kal would have gone hunting himself had Magic refused to share her meal, he was thankful that she was not the case. He was busy enough marking the border with his own scent and admitting the newcomers that seemed to flock to his borders. Kalgalth’s plume stayed itself, the pendulous motion ceasing. “Thank you, Magic. I shall go and find Tyson, and tell him of his impending meal. I shall meet you back here when dawn breaks. Enjoy the rest of the darkness while it lasts.” The brute dipped his head once more, this time as a goodbye, and raised his bodice off of the ground. His nose pointed him in the direction of the pup that was resting within the wood, and his limbs propelled him forward, in searching of said pup.
