Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The golden boy waited, black eyes alight with good intent and yet obvious curiosity as he examined the limb held out before him by the other male. It was a maddening thing this limb and yet he is mind is so enraptured with the appendage that all other thoughts seem to melt away, along with social good graces, the coppery young male making no effort to hide his obvious fascination with something so beyond the norm. How was it that the limb had come to be this way? By what factors had it set in such a manner to hold this shape and form? How was it’s function affected? His mind moved so quickly that indeed the boy barely had time to grasp one thought before another replaced it, his beaming white grin a glorious thing as he moved about to examine the appendage from every possible angle, brushing against and trampling over the other male with seemingly no regard whatsoever. He doesn’t mean it of course, Pan is simply within another world, one in which his mind alone is given free rein to be the thing that it is- vivid and beautiful, wild and talented and yet he is limited in some ways as well. He is still wolf. The marvels of the modern world are not within his capabilities though indeed he will go close as a canine ever did. Pan nodded somewhat absentmindedly, gesturing for Ajax to continue, lowering his own muzzle to the limb, black eyes narrowed as the male proceeded to tell his story, golden ears flicking about in consideration as the both examined and listened all at once.

Pan himself had been barely a yearling when the sky fell, a phenomenon to which the golden prodigy is still attempting to understand to this day, the brilliance of his mind, even as advanced as it, is unable to fully deduce the reasons for such a disaster, even so he gestured for Ajax to continue, pausing a moment in his examination to lift his gaze to the other male, fluffing his own coat against the winter chill. It was an unusual story indeed, one that Pan finds quite bizarre. Why would a sister attack her brother? If indeed this was the truth of the tale, Ajax admitting his understanding in such a thing as being limited and yet Pan cannot help but frown, brow knitting together a moment. What sort of a wolf would lead another, in the middle of the sky fall, out alone, to waste the time to break a limb and leave such a child an only more terrifying death? After all, by Pan’s assumption, being able to run away was one thing, being unable was another and being injured, in pain and unable is yet another again. Such cruelty is a foreign thing to a creature born and based upon logic, it is against moral grain and stigma and truly the boy finds himself at odds with it, distracted from his thoughts only at the mention of Brother Bedwyr, the golden wolf so like himself whom Pan had never truly become close to, another victim of this...imprinting.

Pan managed a nod as Ajax finished, gorgeous golden grin spreading across his features, pushing away the thoughts of acts so cruel, so unlike that which it is to be wolf, focusing his attention once more on the matter at hand. The leg. That marvellous, wonderful ,unique and different leg that is so captivating Pan is entirely of the belief he could stare at it all day- even if is had come about by sinful means. He raised his head again, offering another grin towards the male.

“Well, if we are to operate by the logic put forth by yourself on this matter, then, as I am Brother to Bedwyr and Weylin, I am your Uncle and you my nephew. I always wanted a nephew and don’t worry I shall make sure I endeavour to make myself your favourite uncle. When we have the time I shall also introduce you to my other Brother, your Uncle Seven, when the sky fell, Seven and I lost all of our siblings, all thirteen of them so he will no doubt be equally as thrilled to lay claim to a nephew like yourself.”

The young male, not even yet four, beamed again before redirecting his attention entirely to the twisted limb, one paw reaching out almost delicately to prod at it, watching as Ajax’s weight shifted atop it, lips twisting as his mind set about to ponder.

“You do know......I do believe this can be fixed, at least in theory. I’d have to break it again though, set it exactly like my own forelimb and then immobilize you for, well, some weeks. In theory it could be repaired almost perfectly I believe, yet in practice such a thing is not truly possible. I do not believe I would be comfortable fracturing you limb, nor with forcing you to lie still for weeks on end. As it is though, I can probably fix the tendons a bit, with the right exercises. I need to think on this more of course, I have studied very few tendons, but would you be willing to allow me to attempt to repair some of the damage?”
