shiver my timbers, shiver my sides
yo ho, heave ho
there are hungers as strong as the wind and tides
yo ho, heave ho
Hello, healer and diplomat hopefuls. Greetings, chaperons. I will be sending a group to each of the three packs to further your education and experience. Each group will comprise of at least one healer, one diplomat, and one chaperon. There are three packs so some may need to double up.
Diplomats. This is a time for you to prove your mettle in the field. I am giving you the opportunity to build not only trust, but a working relationship between Glorall and other packs. You will not be making alliances in this instance, for Glorall will not be allying with entire packs, and instead making contracts. If the question arises about alliances, please tell them only that you are not permitted to speak on pack alliances at this time and for them to send either a trusted delegation or to come call on us at our borders if they need to discuss something of that magnitude. However, the goal is to ask them if they would permit the healer that is in your group to perhaps learn from a healer to learn their style of healing. I am going to trust your feelings and common sense as to what you can and cannot agree to in exchange. If it is something that seems to give you trouble, simply acknowledge that you do not have the authority to accept or decline that demand and report your group back to Glorall. You are the director of the expedition, you must take command of your people on this trip.
Healers. As you know, I am looking for my head healer as well as those who will work beneath him or her. I need you to be varied in your knowledge and style to help when we finally have the pack up and running the way I plan. Each of you will be sent with the group I assign you, though I will listen to preferences before making my decision as to who will go where. You will listen and not argue with whatever the diplomat and foreign dignitaries decide, unless you feel it is somehow against the prosperity or success of Glorall. If there is an agreement reached, you will remain with that pack for whatever length of time they permit, but you must return within two seasons - and report to me within one. This is non-negotiable. Know that upon your return, there will be a small test I will be preparing for you for the time when all healers have returned with their new knowledge. If, during your stay, the pack who houses you is in need of a healer - you are permitted to help, provided that they acknowledge an extension of your training by half a season is the purchase price for your service if the price of your teaching is not already that you serve there as a healer (and no, this does not mean you will be a wolf of that pack, despite your use for them).
Chaperons. You are there to protect both the Diplomats and Healers. This is the most great task to be given to the fighters. You are in potential enemy territory the second you leave the boundaries of my scent markings. You are in charge of keeping them safe and for delivering them to their destination and home. In the case that the healer stays behind, you must - and I mean MUST - determine for yourself whether it is more crucial to remain with the healer for their protection, or to return with the diplomat. You will, upon your return, describe to me this trip and the reasons for your staying or returning immediately. This will be a test of common sense as well as how well you protect your pack. In the case that you remain with the healer, I will send a messenger to you to be updated on the work the healer does and also the things you see or hear. Obey and behave within our neighbors care, I will not be happy with a wolf who incites war with a people we seek to learn from.
