Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

these people keep to themselves,

Self Awareness. How would other packs steal you? What does your name mean, how could they pick you out of a crowd, etc. How about me? What would be the clues having to do with my name, what I am, who I am, how I am? And Glorall, what ideas could they use to identify Glorall within the steal.

Well, my name d'Mani is not a true name - Mani, however, is. Named not only for the Norse personification of the moon but also a name found in other cultures; it is a Sanskirt name meaning jewel, a name borne by a serpent named Skanda, and a common name in South Asia, Pakistan and India.

Picking me out of a crowd would be relatively easy, too. There are few wolves with eyes like my own - yellow with blue rings - and even fewer wolves with fur like mine. See, I never grew out of my puppy fleece and my colour is described as quite rare - entirely white with silver brindling just over my hips. To try and compare such an appearance to much would be... difficult without giving it away. They could mention the ocean, not only referring to Glorall but to Litherum, or perhaps the ravine in reference to Paracon. Male attention, attention in general - those things could be brought up too since it's what I'm seen often looking for.

You on the other hand could have a number of clues - they could refer to your mate, your brothers, your family in general but as the family is quite well known, such references should be easily picked up. Your father, for example, is relevant in Arabic mythology. Your name means son of the wolf in Celtic so use of Celtic mythology or language could be used; your name is also a variant of Wayland which means land by the road.

Your colour could be used, too, yes but seeing as your combination of eye colour and coat colour are not so common, they may use attempts such as day and night et cetera. They may also attempt to utilise your Nanruan heritage to some extent - perhaps referencing life bonds, the chase and so on.

Glorall is a relatively obvious pack to pick up on - river, islands, sea creatures, that sort of paraphernalia. They may also use references to pirate themes seeing as our rank system is based off of such or maritime slang.
