The male couldn't help but frown slightly; his question seemed to have upset the cream feya, which it had not been intended to. Albiorix had come across many a wolf with sad stories, and judging from Esubi's words and reactions, hers was one of them.

" I live here. " He smiled at her, trying to salvage the conversation from the obvious awkwardness. "I haven't joined a pack here, so I guess you could say I'm a loner. "

The words were light and easy; the varg had absolutely nothing to hide. He smiled once more at her, his eyes sparkling.

"What about you? Do you live around here?"
