aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Loyalty means nothing unless it has at its heart the absolute principle of self-sacrifice

Kalgalath’s icy gaze watched as Leila’s trembling body merged itself from the lake. He turned his orbs upward momentarily, and noticed to his distress that the sun was currently absent from the sky. At some point while they had been engaging in water play, a thick layer of cloud coverage had swept its way across the sky, hiding the warm rays of the sun. The grey brute shook out his coat once more, thankful for his thick layers of muscle and fat underneath his fur. Though not warm, persay, he was not freezing. Unlike Leila. The fae’s shivers send a pang of guilt through Kal’s system – he had not thought about the fact that fae was not his size and therefore did not store as much heat as his body did. The fae’s stride as she finally came upon the shore was unsure – the frigid waters had likely stripped the blood from her limbs, numbing them. Well – if I do cat-tch a cold it’ll be your fault. Kalgalath sighed as her words reached his audettes. The fae shook off some of the water droplets, but his orbs saw that her coat was still saturated.S-so is the tour finished, or are there other places to go? Even her vocals were wracked with shivers, though Kal noticed that her body seemed to be shaking less violently than it had before. The brute moved to her side and rubbed one side of his body against the fae’s, and then rubbed his other side of his body against the corresponding other side of the fae’s. His coat was only damp now, and soaked up some of the water that covered Leila, in hopes that she would dry off quicker. His paws moved away from the fae and he shook off a final time, sending the new droplets off of his coat, before returning to face Leila.

I am indeed sorry Leila, I did not realize that the sun had disappeared. Come, I’ll show you two more things… we shall trot off, yes? Slow enough so it won’t send pins and needles to your pads, but fast enough to get the blood rushing throughout your system once more. Kong showed me these dens when I first arrived here. They are quiet and secluded… a good place to sleep if you wish. Though not what I personally prefer. I prefer the groves.

Kalgalath paused a few minutes, allowing Leila to search around this hidden area. It was hidden from view by the tall trees from all outside of the terra, so most wolves did not know of its existence. Kal had not known of it either.

After Leila had searched around a bit, Kalgalath smiled at her and nodded toward the dense wood that they had just come from. “One more stop, Leila. I’ll show you the secret hiding places that lay within Aurora Borealis.....................................................................................................................................................................................
