Name: Elowen
Age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Eye Color: Celery green with a rim of dark blue around the outer edge

Appearance: 28 inches tall, 85 pounds. Her fur is average length, but fluffy, making her look more solid than she really is. Underneath the fur, her body is slender and wiry, making her agile but also susceptible to weight loss. Her base color is a solid medium grey, and she had slightly lighter undersides. Her coat is flecked and speckled throughout with a very dark grey, giving her a rather mottled appearance. On her chest is a medium-width white streak.

Personality: Quiet and serious, though not unfriendly she does have some more playful moments. She's very much the introvert.

History: I won't reveal everything, but she behaves the way she does as a result of how she was raised.

Rules read: Yes
Word Minimum: 200

Sample Post (recycled):
Looking at her son standing quietly by the creek, she again wondered about him. This time it was not worry that occupied her mind, but intrigue. He was an unusual child, with his silence and awareness and questions she often found difficult to answer. Thankfully, he’d never asked about his father’s whereabouts, for she truly did not know the answer and would feel guilty admitting it. She felt as though she owed it to their son to know. If she were being logical, she’d remind herself that the man had left without a word and it was impossible to tell where he’d gone. But Laurel was rarely logical, particularly about the brief portion of her life that had involved Badr.

Rather than following her son’s gaze to the mountain, she watched to gauge his reaction to the stony protrusion. She knew little of the place, though as they’d pass it on their way to the meadow a strong smell of women had come to her. Though she was unsure whether only mares occupied such a place, she was unsure if Rowan would be welcome, no matter how young. She regretfully shook her head slightly and whispered, “I don’t know, Rowan. Perhaps one day.”

Laurel lowered her head – though not nearly as far as she used to – and softly lipped at the spiky hair along his neck. When he opened his mouth again, she pulled back to face him. She held his stare with an equally even expression, though she knew that this question would also be hard to answer. She marveled at him at the same time as she pondered what he could mean and what she should say. She remembered briefly seeing the two chestnuts with their mother in the dunes and thought perhaps he was referring to them; however, she again had no idea where they had gone after the palomino left. “Do you mean the boys from the dunes? I suppose they and their mother might have stayed, or else they all found a new place to call home, like we did.”

She felt she had answered safely, though she still could not determine if this was what the colt was asking. Curiously, she continued to gaze into his small face, finding that despite how small he still was, she was going to have to work at remembering that he was, in fact, still a child.
