Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

I wait for his approach and it doesn't take long at all. I glance up to see the large black male loping gently toward me, impassive curiosity on his face. He seems slightly puzzled by my reaction to him but I'm sure he didn't even recognize my call so for me to be standing proudly before him would probably be asking for a fight or at least an interrogation as to why one of his pack mates is a stranger to him. He seems more confused as I get down on my side, ready to roll over, his eyes questioning. Finally he speaks and his words arrest me. I have been nominated to be his beta? I didn't even know alphas did votes to proclaim their second in command. I thought they chose a wolf they could trust to uphold the pack. I feel slightly woozy that so many would call on me for the task. I only just joined right before Sulan's challenge with Weylin. I didn't even get to meet any of the pack members yet. So many of their scents are unknown to me. Do they know of me from old Moladian? I shift, suddenly restless. I feel so undeserving.

I've been such a hermit as fo late. My life was nothing but Cobryn for two years, helping him recover after Jaidah left with his son. I feel so out of the loop with everything and yet Weylin tells me that the wolves of Glorall want me as his second. He offers his task next, simply to accompany two of his wolves to get one of them taught to heal. He smirks and it's a welcome expression to see after how I imagined him from his call. I nod, my eyes burning with new purpose. It shall be done. Thank you, Weylin. I slowly get to my paws, dipping my head once more to him. I study him for a few moments, before turning on my heel to go find the two wolves I need to be accompanying. D'Mani and Ravan? Never heard of them. Guess I've got some work to do.
