aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

‘Ah, but that is also how I feel. So while I will admit that I slept in these dens for the first few nights that I was in the terra, it was only because I was too tired to search the rest of the terra for a place to sleep. I think you will like the last stop.’ Leila’s mandible broadened into cheerful grin. She was beginning to ponder that they had more in common than it had first seemed. The black phantom found herself attracted towards the range he had described as a secret. Leila liked secrets. She was an exceptional secret keeper; once she distinguished there was a secret she had to investigate it. It was a good thing Kalgalath did not plan from keeping it from her. “I believe that I shall too, Kalgalath. Or I better; otherwise you’ll have to work out a way of making it up for those lost minutes of my life.” She teased, a small laugh emitting from her jaw. In an abrupt moment, the brute bounded off from his paws and sprinted across the terrain. Leila let out a small ‘whuff’ sound of air before impelling after from him. Leila accomplished keeping up as her movements were no longer sluggish and ridged.

Her black pillars rose to the job; stampeding through the woodland at Kalgalath’s side. Her appendages trampled the debris that scattered the russet terrain. Her penetrating gaze retained her eyes on him – watching for even a solitary muscle to turn. However Leila could not resist casting her eyes around her, or contemplating the birds swooping from tree to tree. And then Kalgalath halted, his paws coming to a rest upon the territory. This range looked no different, Leila thought, as she peered around. A quizzical look emerged onto her face; she revolved her gaze to Kalgalath – hoping for answers for why they had stopped. He did not seem wounded so she assumed that that could not be the reason. ‘Well Leila, this is it! This is one of the secret hiding places of Aurora Borealis. One of my favoured groves.’ Leila would have frowned if it were possible, this was it? It was like everything else – everything ordinary… “Oh, um… It’s lovely.” She commented timidly. The black phantom blinked a few times and searched around, speculating if she had neglected something. Was it hidden? No that would be impossible… right?

'I’m just kidding, beauty.' Leila’s mandible broadened into a perky grin – so he had been calling her beauty! It would have been most unusual for this area to be a grove. Her optics imitated her amusement before she advanced after him – hoping wordlessly that he would take her directly there.

She was in for luck; Kalgalath vanished into a dense section of conifers; as if he had disappeared completely into thin air. Curious, Leila trailed after him wordlessly. He had not departed though, for when she followed his trail he was standing in what can only be described as a natural hut. Her sun kissed eyes dawdled downwards; taking observations on everything. Prickly but equally comfortable pine needles shielded the floor and it offered a lot of shelter from rain. Her ears rose as Kalgalath described what they were in; he had a way with words Leila noted. “It’s lovely,” The female assured quite simply, moving her paws up and down. “I may have to find my own out tonight.” Leila sniffed the air, which smelt strongly of pine. It was comfortable, like nature’s asylum. Nobody would know you were here unless they had strong nose senses. “I defiantly made a good choice joining your pack, Kal.”
