Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

I glance over at Zev curiously as Blaze and I talk about Seoras' feelings toward something so innocent as rabbits. He seems overly understanding of it, almost as if he himself could picture never eating rabbit meat again. The idea is curious, but if it's the only thing you can catch, it'll make due. As a loner, rabbit made up most of my diet, along with birds, squirrels, and the rare wounded fawn. I ate a young moose before that was sick, come to find out, but I found out the hard way. I thought he was just weak from birth so I took him down easily enough and the rest of the herd went on and left him, even his own mother. That puzzled me at the time but I was too hungry to think about it so I dug in, only to grow sick myself later. After that, I started trying to hunt the stronger young but it's hard with just one wolf, no one to distract the prey to hold off the herd that would strive to protect one of their own. In the end, I had to go back to birds, squirrels, and rabbits. And field mice when I could catch them.

Zev seems as troubled as I am about the thought of vicious packs that would seek to harm one of their own. I can sense eyes on me as I answer about my family but in the end, all Zev says is that he doesn't have family here either. He seems curious of me for a moment, perhaps reading the facts I'm not telling by the look in my eyes. My eyes have always been my weak point. They say what I'm thinking and feeling even when I don't know it myself. Blaze seems a little awkward after our answers and I feel bad since she was only trying to make conversation but something troubling flashes in her eyes, as if understanding exactly where we're coming from. I guess family is a sore subject all the way around then. I wish I could give them more but that would lead to a long tale, something I'm not sure I have the heart to tell right now. If Raylen was here to make me strong then maybe...

I too glance up at the sky, following the gaze of the two wolves with me. Afternoon is leading into dusk and soon the sun will be setting. I'm sure the other two are already thinking up things they would rather be doing. I know I'll probably be tracking Raylen's weeks old scent again, trying to track him down even as I try to keep my head up and my heart light. I won't let myself grow depressed over him. I won't let my happiness lean on another male, not again. Blaze distracts me from my thoughts as she yawns, a gentle smile forming on my alabaster lips. At her question, I nod instantly, wagging my tail. Of course. I glance toward Zev, hoping he'll say the same.
