His opal eyes were lacking of one thing, the obvious black of pupils. They were there, but not so as the others had. They stared at the sun and shimmer and glimmered, the streaks and flecks of bright yellow and pink shine in the opalescent glory passed down from his father, the yellow from his mother, and the pink...well, that was something all his own. He was a beautiful pup, a small thing in a big world that he would take on one day. The sun, however, was a frustrating ball of light. This one burned into his vision, almost blinding with all of the power it held. He huffed slightly. Earlier, it didn't do that! The sun grew big and the light filled him up and it was perfect! Now it is a meaner sun....the sun was a moody thing apparently. Starfall would have to investigate this strange change in mood. He would figure it out all by himself. He knew it be true and no one else was going to tell him otherw-

It was in his confident little puppy thoughts that the peace of being alone was broken. Starfall had completely ignored his brother Guardian, without intent as he sat in the forest of grass. Starfall was already growing into a boy who became absorbed into his thoughts so much that the outside world could not penetrate his mind. It was the physical touch of fur on fur that snapped him out of it. He wasn't exactly the most functional thing right after waking up. Guardian tackled him and Starfall went down with a cute puppy yelp. His ears! His beautiful star-touched ears! Mother said that the white speckles all over his body were star marks, and Starfall had many! He had many special marks from the stars above and he was destined for much. Guardian has star marks too over his eye, but Starfall had more. His brother, however, had a much larger angel mark than he. Starfall's angel mark was hidden under layers of dark fur, like a soft burning from below on his spine. It was a trade off of greatness, between Starfall and Guardian, and together, they were to do great things.

Starfall could feel the slobber of Guardian's mouth as he chewed on his ears and the little fluff of a light black and inky black of shadows growled playfully. He had not forgotten what the sun had just done, no he did not forget but he, however, was easily distracted. His brother wanted to play and he wanted to play too! He pushed on his brother with his awkward jet black paws, pushing him off and freeing his ear of further chews. His own maw was about to fly through the air to grab whatever he could in playful jest, but something...else came. His star-touched ears swiveled around, his little body squirming to get to his feet again as the big monster came. Yes, it was a big monster of a wolf...a monster that he and Guardian must slay! His little puppy chest puffed out, his opal eyes shining with puppy determination. The monster speaks and he holds his little puppy head high, his little face super serious as he stared down the evil monster. the evil monster roars and speaks and demands to know things and Starfall shakes his head, a methodical look springing onto his maw as his stunning eyes narrowed. This monster was to know nothing! Guardian and Starfall would take how down and chew on HER ears! She leans her muzzle down towards him and he tries to nip at her, thinking he is quick and swift though it is likely he is not, seeing as he is but a pup.

His big brother marches up and Starfall straightens up to mimic his posture. Yes! Big brother will stand up to the big monster with them! Starfall stomped over to Meryl's side, a look of pride on his little puppy features to be next to his big brother. Meryl is the best big brother and he will help them! Meryl is strong and he is confident and he talks to the monster and asks who SHE is! YEAH! He nods but his attention is drawn towards someone else....another puppy! His tail begins to wag as she walks up to him, he didn't see what happened before. She comments on the way he looks and grins, ears perking with more pride. He looks good! This makes him happy, but there is something to take care of still...the monster! Starfall did not notice the other puppy that came up, he was busy looking back at Guardian, head motioning towards Malina, his opal eyes falling on Gecko for a second and back to his brother again. The monster Malina should be distracted by the other pup when he says in a small puppy whisper,"Hey, she is the big monster! Let's get her!"

Achilles was to be the perfect distraction as Starfall turned back, nudging Meryl before making a puppy battle cry, a shriek only a puppy could make. His puppy paws pushed forth through the grass in pounces. He could feel the adreneline rushing through his body as he raced towards Malina's left paw, aiming to bite it playfully. If his attack failed, he would then jump up to try and bite her chest. He would chase her and everyone was going to help him take her down! He just knew it! They would win and they would tackle her to the ground, and Starfall and his brother would stand tall on top of her and chew on her ears. It was just going to be so, he knew it!
