Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Sleep had come to her just as the sun broke over the opposite lip of the crater. Soft beams of indirect light warmed her, and slowly her eyes closed while her body succumbed to a dreamless slumber. It had been a long time since she had found a place that offered such ample protection as her tiny cave. Though she would have no means of escape should someone find her, her sleeping form was no threat to any passersby. Plus, she had an additional guardian of sorts waiting for her to wake up, though she of course was unaware of that fact.

Elowen’s nap was short-lived. The warmth in her poorly ventilated bandbox was becoming uncomfortable, and she began to stir softly. Just as she lifted her head, the voice reached her. She tensed for a moment out of surprise, but the voice sounded rather cheerful. Almost too much so, in her opinion. It was not that she was never in a good mood, nor did she resent those who were. The grey woman was simply quieter about her feelings than most.

Pricking her ears in silent interest, she crawled her way forward to peer at the speaker, a young female who lay a short distance from where Elowen had slept. The sun showed the traces of other colors scattered throughout the otherwise black coat, and as she looked into the other female’s eyes she saw that they were surrounded by odd grey markings. Her general perception of Leviathan was that she was interesting; perhaps even pretty, though striking was probably the best word.

Elowen herself might also be considered lovely, though she had never been told by anyone. Her slate grey coat was overlaid in patches of charcoal, and her belly, legs, and under her chin was just a shade lighter than her base coat. Adding to the image were her green eyes, rimmed in deep blue around the iris. These eyes stared into Leviathan’s in quiet observation, trying to gauge whether or not she was being sincere. Finally deciding that it didn’t matter, she fully emerged from her hiding hole and spoke softly. “Hello, Leviathan. My name is Elowen.” She sat then, watching her companion silently, not yet willing to give any more information.
