Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The Dancing Fool, Jester of Glorall
I'm a falling stone in a world of glass,
I'm a ticking bomb with a smiling mask.

( Because this totally counts as being productive. )

Today, he was building a fort. Most others might think it a den, but to Brutus it would be his castle. It wasn't all that impressive, of course, as Brutus just didn't make beautiful things (at least, not things that were beautiful to any eyes other than his own). It was made up of large rocks that had been rolled into place, dirt that had been kicked up from the middle and then pushed into the sides, and long, leafy branches that had been leaned up and layered along the outside. He would have liked to incorporate some of the sand from the beach, but he had no idea how to transport it.

Regardless, it turned into a rather makeshift and somewhat derpy bandbox of a fort, but something that Brutus was proud of all the same. So much so, that he considered bringing Latika to live in it. As easily entertained as the Jester was, and as into anything of his own creation as one would expect him to be, the raggedy brute was content and even ecstatic to then just sit within his made fort for what was probably at least an hour. Because it was his, and he was probably the king of it or something.

When he heard footsteps outside, he had no idea what it was, but his imagination promptly decided that it must be a potential invader of his fort. He crouched down within his hidey-hole and waited, only a single eye peering out around the corner of the entrance until the approaching form came into view.

He didn't bother to register who it was, to determine if harassing them would be a good or a bad idea, before he sprung free from his fort and scrambled right for them.

"Defend the motherland!" he shrieked, the manic and toothy grin on his maw the only indication that he might not mean any harm (though, really, it could have just made it more startling). He didn't make contact, though, instead turning on foot last minute and making a tight circle around the 'attacker', before diving back into his fort.
