She stands around 29 inches tall, but is rather slim for how tall she is, weighing only 75 lbs. She is built delicately, more for running than for fighting. Her coat is grey with black points at the tips of her ears, her back, and the very tip of her tail. Her fur sits flat on her body, not doing much to add to her build, but when she is threatened and her fur stands on end, it does make her look a little larger. She has a scar on her back left leg from an old injury and the fur there is a lighter grey than anywhere else on her body.


personality
She is reserved but only because she learned to be cautious at a young age. She has a sarcastic streak that can be off-putting, as she doesn't seem the type for it. She comes across as more passive than she actually is, again a learned defense mechanism. Once she is loyal to someone, she stays loyal to them to the point of sacrificing things herself.


history
Her mother raised her away from a pack, but Alana was never fond of the isolation and constant danger. That danger is why she turned out as cautious as she is. She lost her mother in the disaster and now is on her own.

Her movement was as close to silent as is possible, barely even disturbing the birds that were on a constant high-alert. Their songs as they sat and fluttered among the rocks covered the click of her claws on the stone ground. She trotted from stone to stone along the edge of the crater, pausing every so often to take in her surroundings. It was her first time in these lands and she was wary, not knowing what type frequented these parts. The scents of many others were in the air and on the ground, but they were faded, none particularly recent. She stepped to the edge of a rock face, surveying the land before her. Her yellow-green eyes alighted on a cave down a slope not far from where she now stood.

Safety.

She turned, loping easily toward the slope, less cautious now that she knew where she was heading. The cave was relatively small, really just an outcropping that extended over the ground rather than an actual cave. Still it was more shelter than being out in the open. Her stomach ached, it having been a while since she had hunted, but she needed rest before she attempted to find food. She sniffed the ground, the scents of others still around but, as before, still ancient. Still, that now brought up more questions in her mind. Why wasn’t any one else here now? It seemed a decent place, hardly anything wrong with it enough to cause it to be abandoned. Suddenly paranoid that someone was near, she turned her back to the wall, surveying the landscape of rocks and streams before her.
