I cup my ears toward the haunting call, my tail tucking a little at the sad tone. I don't know this voice and yet it calls for me. The voice is feminine and my brow furrows in confusion. Who do I know? It's not Laila for sure or Moonglow. It's not Belinda cause I would still know her voice, something that sticks in my throat like glue when I think about her. I need to visit her, see how she's doing. The sadness in the voice has me paused and then my heart takes a straight shot to my mouth. What if something's wrong? What if something happened to Belinda or Laila or my children? My eyes almost bug out of my head as I bolt forward, using my lean legs with every ounce of strength they have left as I race to the borders. My easr flatten to my skull, my head already busy with so many worst case scenarios that I feel bile rising up my throat. I will die if something has happened to my Laila or children. Belinda was a close friend so don't discount her either. I miss her dearly and I'm sorry that I ever had to hurt her. She could have been the one if Fate didn't have other plans for me. It doesn't take me long to reach the wolf and I slow down upon seeing her, my heart faltering at the look on her face. She looks so depressed, so haunted. Does Laila know her? She doesn't smell of Laila but the more I inspect the scent, the more detailed the perfumes on her go. She smells of plateaus and ravines. The Diveen pack. Wasn't Belinda a member of Diveen? Oh no. My tail tucks again and my eyes watch her warily as I step toward her and stop a few feet away. Tilting my head some, my ears prick but my face is already screwed up in caution. I'm Camelot.
