News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

I study Weylin, wondering what drives him. Does he have no honor, to talk to a queen as he does? Does he think himself better than her? I see no one as being better than my mate, though Sinopa is perfect as well. She is sweet and kind and without flaws, always trusting and yet not hating me for returning to another. She is understanding and she doesn't ask anything of me and yet she knows that I will always be there when she needs me. Weylin talks down to Isola as if she is a child and this angers me to no end. Where is his honor? An honorable wolf would think about his words and actions, would find the motivation in them before speaking. What is the motivation in this? To get under Isola's skin? To anger the pack of Diveen? He is doing nothing but embarassing himself. He thinks we will do nothing for his brother and that he is better because he wants to. He is not thinking logically. I would die for my siblings. Chance and Zeteri know this. I would have died for any of my siblings that night during the storm. I would have died for Fathom, Capone, Cordova, Stella. Any of them. I would ahve thrown myself in front of them to stop the fire, the pain, the suffering. And yet I move on for them because I know they wouldn't want me to grieve and writhe in pain over their deaths. They would want my happiness and I found it in Isola. would the Finley he knows have him insulting his imprint and putting down everything she stands for? The Finley I knew wouldn't. He would be defending her still with every breath. How is this charade honoring Finley's death? Weylin is spitting on his grave with every insult.

He acts as if we do nothing all day but wander around and talk. We would not have the great pack that we do if we did nothing. We have purpose; just because he doesn't know it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Our goals are our own, not for his knowledge. He acts as if we owe him something for Finley's death. Do we pay his family for his undying loyalty to my queen. No, Finley didn't it as a service. He did it because he listened to his soul with every fiber of his being. He didn't wish for payment ro reward or even praise, only craving Isola's attention. Weylin is being selfish, crying for revenge when it seems like all he cares about is getting something in return for Finley's "service" to Diveen. It was not a service, not to Finley and no to Isola and I. It meant much more than that. He acts as if Isola should have been sending out assassins the moment Finley's body hit the ground. He doesn't understand that she wants to take care of this personally. She doesn't want to command her wolves to do this for her. She's not that kind of queen, to demand anything of her pack. They do something because they want to, not because she demands it. Perhaps that's the difference between Diveen and Glorall. Such as his tantrum about a simple greeting. Does he place himself on a pedestal above his followers to act so indignant about a head bob? We do not think in ranks unless it is absolutely necessary, as if for discipline or a need for authority. Otherwise, we are a pack, we are one. Who gets greeted first does not matter. Isola doesn't put herself before others. She doesn't step forward just so someone knows whose in charge. Her posture is enough and her confidence in herself is enough. Is he so insecure to grow so angry over this? Sinopa should be his mate and queen, his equal in everything, his everything, as she is his soul and the way he seems to be built, that means everything to him, and yet he gets angry that she gets greeted first. A child in an adult's skin.

He acts as if we disrespect him. How is this? The matter of Finley is between us and his soul, not Weylin. He is family but that is a different matter. He can handle it the way he wants to and we'll handle it our way. The act of revenge will be on our terms, not anyone else's. Weylin cannot demand anything of us. Our only act of disrespect is to ourselves for inviting him here to insult us on our own soil. The tension between Selene and Weylin is palpable but that is between them. They should work that out, but a humble male will admit when he is wrong just to see a smile on her face. Even if the fault is not his own, he will do whatever it takes for her happiness. I would do this for Isola. I would damn myself for a crime I did not commit if only to make her happy with me again, whatever it takes. Perhaps his pride is too much for whatever lies between Selene and him. Perhaps he is blinded by more than rage. I try to think of this on his terms. What if this had been Sinopa? My heart stops in my chest for a moment at just the mere thought. I would go blind with rage, yes, and I would hunt the killer until he or she lie dead at my feet. Would I question Weylin? I don't believe the matter of her pack would even come to mind. I see myself as her protector and if something should happen to her, I would blame myself. I did not blame Crow's pack for what happened to her. I would act on my own, not asking others to come do the work I should have done in the first place to protect her. Isola copes the way she knows best. I have a warrior's blood in my veins but she is more tempered than her assassin blood lines dictate. Not that I don't see her as being just as deadly. She is more cunning, I think. She has a plan in mind, of this, I'm sure. I will wait for her to share it, if she ever chooses to. I will let her seek vengence in her own way, in her own time, though you'd better believe I'll be right there to shield her should she come into harm's way.

The pack of my imprint does not come to mind at all when it comes to her safety. Why does he think I didn't stop to ask permission before I helped Sinopa escape from Iromar? Because in my deep connection to her, I do not have time to think of politics and pack affairs. I can only think of her fear, her distress, and my soul knows to answer at once. I raced to the borders when I caught wind of her scent. I felt her fear, her need for safety and I answered. I don't care for Glorall's affairs. I only care for her. Her well being. I would not let her sit idle in that hell hole until Weylin figured out how to get her out. That was not even an option. My soul would not let me sit by while he acted as diplomat. He wouldn't understand because Selene is with him but if she were in danger, he would not stop to think of her pack either. He would only think of her. That's what the imprint bond does to you. He should know this, firsthand. He seems more tense if anything at Isola's words, as if by not rising to the insults that she has only angered him more. Would he rather she spit words back at him, acting every bit the child he's making himself out to be? That is not Isola's way. My breath hisses through my teeth in anger when he speaks of lying to Isola, of pretending as if that's what she asked of him. She does not ask him to put on a mask. She asks for genuine respect or her alternative is simple: leave.

She never said that the wolves would expect her or him to lie. I don't know where he gets these silly ideas. He looks back at his imprint in surprise when she speaks of Finley being a private matter, as if this is great news to him. He acts as if his pack is truly united, and yet here he stands apart from them, his imprint forsaken behind him because he does not wish her to be greeted before himself, as if that alone makes him not a king. He is a picture of irony and hypocrisy, this king of Glorall and I don't think we will ever truly understand each other. His next words are more circles of how he doesn't understand. He even makes his polite words sound like insults but I know that Isola won't rise to the barb he throws at her. He nods his head at some point, speaking of wrongs and debts and that we can choose the payment. I tilt my head, eyes curious. Why would we want anything from him? He comes here to breathe nothing but insults and then asks what we would want from him? Curious fellow, isn't he? He continues speaking, trying to explain his blood lines, his ways, and yet his face does not look comfortable with this way of speaking. Is this his way of pretending? He says in the end that he will try to better respect our culture though I can't tell by now if this is still lies and faking or if he's actually genuine in this promise. He offers options then of whether to leave or not. I am relaxing slightly under Isola's gentle touch at my side and the thought that this harrowing confrontation will soon be over, but then Weylin goes and throws a monkey wrench in the smooth running wheels of my slowly quelling anger.

My lips curl back automatically, my claws digging into the soil now to stop me from leaping at him as I have the sudden urge to do. How dare he tell me not to step forward for Sinopa again. My eyes are gleaming with rage but for Isola's sake, I choose my words carefully. Learn better to understand the urges of an imprint then, king of Glorall. Don't act so petty as to think you yourself would not hesitate to rescue her if she were in danger. Did you really think I would stand by and let you do whatever it is you do when she was in the midst of such creatures? If they had touched one hair on her head, I would have filleted them on the borders for the whole of Moladian to gawk at. I wasn't going to take that chance and how DARE you try commanding me to do so. I am not your subordinate and I won't act as such. Your words are simply that here, words. I suggest you watch your tongue the next time you think to come to our home. Mind you, I suggest, not command. My eyes pierce through his selfish hide, my tail flicking in irritation behind me. Isola may not be happy with me after this but in this moment, all I care for is putting this prick in his place. Come here, insult my mate, and have the audacity to tell me not to rescue my imprint? I don't think so.
