Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Love will still remain

Jaye's eyes stared at nothing but her ears were held high as she listened to the newcomer's voice. He called himself Osiris and he was very young by the sound of it. The dark female could hear it in the way his words streamed from his mouth. This wolf was still but a pup in her eyes, barely old enough to be considered an adult. But what he lacked in age it sounded like he made of for in confidence and willingness. Jaye couldn't help but chuckle when Osiris finished talking. Many of the wolves within Glorall were young and still had much to learn, even her own grandson needed her wisdom from time to time. It was the way of growing up and maybe this Osiris would learn from his fellow pack mates.

"You may be able to find a home here, Osiris. Tell me, what can you give us? Each wolf here has a place and a task to do. What are your talents? What are your weaknesses?" Jaye asked, stepping aside to let Osiris into the pack lands. The elder knew that if this young brute had meant her any harm, he would have done so already. It wasn't news to anyone that Jaye was blind and for those who didn't know her they could easily see it in her clouded eyes. She wasn't hard to kill.

Jaye walked away from the boarders, not waiting to see if the lad had followed her. If he truly wanted a home, he would follow. Jaye couldn't help but wonder where Osiris had come from and what his story was. Though he was an adult in the eyes of many, the wise elder knew he was still very young. What made him want to leave home so early? These were all questions she was sure to find out in time, but it was best to allow him some privacy. After all, she was just as strange to him as he was to her. Trust would have to build over time between them before past stories would be told. That was fine. Jaye didn't mind waiting. It seemed that was all she did anymore. So she walked onwards, towards the river that followed through Glorall, with her companion following. Her steps were slow and careful as she tested the ground she walked on. Her ears were held up and slightly back as she waited for the newest pack member to answer her questions.

love gives you pleasure and love gives you pain
and yet when both are gone, love will still remain
