Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

forsaken, all are fallen, for I rise to meet the end

The scenery in an area swamped with mists and misery can only compensate so far for my inner wanderlust. My eyes, dangerously glowing with a bright gold and black flame, eat up the scenery the way my paws ache to burst across it. The need to move, to run, pulses through my skin and sends shivers through each individual hair along my spinal column.

I am nature, and nature is in me. The quiet that sings of triumph that comes only from true knowledge of self. The sides you hate, the sides you love, everything accepted into what creates the creature inside. Today, I am only where I feel I belong.

I am myself. A blur of crimson-streaked shadow, sounding off only in the soft shuffle of blades too timid to slice or slow me down.

The scent of wetness lingers close, a pallid corpse that wills itself known. The river. It carries with it the memories of what this place used to be, what life we used to know. Those who were here for the purge, that is. It brings even my own legs to a slow, the remembrance it brings. This was someone's home. This is a home, to someone who still stays, silently waiting somewhere buried alive in life and scenery. For now, I lay, entering the land's gentile embrace, a figment of the life held in her open arms.

A silent killer with nothing calling for my hand.

A sole wolf, waiting for something to be exactly what I need.

fallen angels at my feet
whispered voices in my ear
death before my eyes, upon my end shall I begin
forsaken, all are fallen, for I rise to meet the end
