I'll Stand Tall I'll Stay Strong

As Chance lied beside the riverbank he felt as if the world was going to suck him up. Sure he was high ranking in a pack, so what even his desired rank of the master warrior was being taken from him by the old omega Amir. Chance had worked, practiced everyday since before the sky fell to train to be a good warrior like his father and even that was failing on him. He swore if it was the last thing he did he would battle Amir and prove to Isola and his brother that he was meant to have that rank. His gray pawwas soaked as he lifted it from the water. Suddenly a scent caught in the wind and he froze, hackles raising as a voice wafted to his ears. It couldn't be her. She was dead. He didn't look simply rose as the voice continued, her Chance. He couldn't believe it. Turning around his eyes met that of Spiders. He was not sure what was running threw his mind at that moment. Everything he supposed. Stepping forward, without saying a word Chance brought his large form slowly toward her as if not to scare her away. As if he only just caught on to what she was saying Chance placed his head on the back of her neck like a wolf hug. Taking in her scent, drinking it in like a drug. Now finally he opened his mouth to speak.

" shhhh, My Spider are you sure that it isn't fate playing tricks on me. I searched and searched for you when the sky fell... I thought....."

He couldnt believe she was here alive. He feels her shudder and he shhh's her gently.

" I am here, it is me. I swear I searched for you Spider, I'm here now it's me it's your Chance."

Chance nuzzled her gently, he promised never again to leave her side, she seemed to always get taken from him.

" I couldn't find you, but I'm here now I'll protect you. "

But to the heavens above if this was some kind of cruel fated dream he didn't know if he could survive. Letting out a disbelieving chuckle her shook his head and stared into her eyes.

" I hope I really beg that this isn't a dream."
