OOC: I'm going to be gone for an entire week starting tomarrow. I'll try to post but I can't guarantee anything. =(

IC: Zloy ran ahead of Blaze and skidded to a halt when he saw the opened floor. "Jeez! I guess we have to go down�?" He paused, then swiveled his amber pools around to see anything interesting. A little pool of light, near the bottom of the crevice, shone out like ruby or garnet. It was red. Like blood� Zloy thought. A frown crept over his silver muzzle.

"I think there's a ruby vein down there." Zloy told Blaze and Katon. He motioned at the cave with his paw. "In that cave. With the shiny thing. We just need to get down there."

"Well, it actually might now be ruby. It's red, and the blood scent is there too. Maybe it's blood?!" He yipped excitedly.

He walked over to the edge and bent his head dangerously low to take a better look at it. Suddenly the thin rock underneath him crumbled, and Zloy threw out his front paws to keep his steady. He slipped and fell.

Quickly Zloy whipped around, his back skimming the sharp rock and spraying tiny droplets of blood into the ledge. He gripped onto the edge with his right front paw, and vainly tried to dig the claws on his hind legs into the rocky side. Zloy's eyes felt like they were going to pop out of his head, and his pulse quickened as fear shot through his veins like venom. Zloy aimed his other paw, the one that wasn't gripping onto the edge, at Blaze. If she but his paw and pulled him up, he could survive. If he missed, or her reflexes were too slow, Zloy would fall and hope� just hope� that there was a pool of water beneath him.
