When he heard his mother’s call ring out across the mountain, he heeded it with haste. It did not take him long to reach the small gathering that had formed before MoonGlow’s paws, as he had been meandering about the territory close by. Since his family had founded their pack in their rocky mountain home of Spirane, Sleekwing felt that he had not yet found his place in the ranks. He was proud to be a member of the royal family of the star pack, but he was unsure of what role he could play to improve the pack’s functionality. Perhaps a pack meeting, a gathering of all of his family and peers, would afford him the opportunity to better scrutinize what part he should be playing.

Cerulean eyes haloed in lilac gazed across the gathering as he arrived at the rear of the group. His brother and younger sister had placed themselves at their parents’ sides, but in his desire to assimilate with the pack he chose to remain amongst the other wolves that stood before MoonGlow and Alcide. Noticing Camelot’s arrival, Sleekwing sidled up to the hunter and greeted him as a friend. He felt that they had formed a friendship in their mission to the Outer Rim, and he knew that camaraderie could only be a good thing – he was aware that Camelot had once been a loyal member of Solevion, the mountain pack that had been run by his grandmother and grandfather. Boneclaw and Thunderbone – their names would live on forever in infamy. Sleek remembered his grandparents well enough, but he had been but a child when the sky had fallen and taken them from him. He regretted that he would never have the opportunity to learn from them.

Looking to his family at the apex of the gathering, he smiled at his mother and nodded to his father. A playful glint shone in his eyes as he winked at Ceal, and in turn nodded to his brother as well. Then MoonGlow spoke of the evil that brewed in the lands that laid directly south of them. Brows furrowing, he continued to listen with determination. Whatever she needed him to do to better their pack, he would do it. Charged with the duty of safe guarding the new mothers of the pack, the ashen hued wolf nodded proudly. His chest puffed out slightly, glad for the responsibility.

Glancing around at the wolves that surrounded him, he smiled to himself. He was proud to call Spirane home, and to call the wolves that surrounded him pack. It was a comfort to know that the wolves of the mountain were of good nature and pleasant disposition. No wolf was perfect, but to be constantly surrounded by the hellions that had apparently migrated into Moladion would certainly not be a pleasant experience.
