That's a good question. I've only removed the whole window with the trim along with it. I know that the trim is stuck into the rubber seal with puddy, so removal is very difficult. You might be better off removing the whole window, purchase a new seal (Peter Stathes from New York now has the rear window seals available) and than reinstall the windows after painting. Let us know what you decide to do and if it worked!
