The cool of the evening is almost like a balm to the day I've just had. A warm caress, like the swaying branches of the tree I'm lounging beneath. Every gentle breeze that rocks the slender limbs cools the sun-scorched hairs along my spine. No hellions or hooligans trying to jump me that I can sense just now, just... me. Laying on the ground, tail wrapped around the silvery mass of me, against a tree.
The warmth of the day and the subtle heat of the night... how to compare the two? The summer days carry the sun's rays a little closer than the rest of the time, while the echoes of the days turn into sultry summer nights. Though, there are said to be other uses for the ardent evenings.
Where's Akrios right now, I wonder?
And, there I go again. Just sort of thinking of nothing in particular, and he's on my mind once more. My beloved one. Ah, but is that such a bad thing? I think I'm a little bit love drunk, to be thinking this way as much as I do. But if he's my poison, he's also my remedy. The only one that works on me.
One ear twitching randomly, the soil is very inviting, as though to say that it would be an excellent place to think, cool my racing thoughts as the air abates the burn on my back and sides.
Though, of course, if I think too very much, my mind's going to wander straight to Akrios again. As per usual with me.
