Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

these people keep to themselves,

Since the whole Sulan, Apache, Weylin - whatever! - thing had happened, she hadn't really the chance to leave Glorall too often. Really, why would she have wanted to anyway? The sand was Litherum incarnate and even if she avoided the island, she remained so often on the beach that she had practically become a permanent figure there. Her den, too, had been filled with the unusual shells and memorabilia that had washed up on the sands - she liked to think they had each come from Litherum in their own way, or that they had been gifts sent from her beloved siblings. All were gone but in a way, she was finding them present all around her - from the sands, to the hum of the ocean... they were still somewhere if not only within her mind. She was sure Faol'an or Niviaq would have had some kind of answer to it all but they had left with so many stories untold. A dampening thought and one that had eventually pushed her out of the confines of her pack land and into the wilderness that had once been her home.

The summer brought with it the obnoxious heat, her fluffy fur not quite right for the suffocating heat - hell, she'd wanted some kind of adventure but she'd fast found herself pushed into the shade. She had two choices, really - the thickets where her fur would undoubtedly get tangled and take hours to repair, or the awful smelling abyss that was the swamp? Oh, yes, what a difficult choice! - to the shades and labyrinth that made up the thickets. How long had she been simply trotting? How long had passed? She'd stopped a number of times in an attempt to find the source of light, to gauge the position of the sun but alas, her attempts were in vain. At that rate, she'd probably die and be forgotten in the tangle of branches and leaf litter - she'd been so focused on her attempts, head tilted back and eyes squinted, that she'd not noticed her intrusion into the clearing and certainly had not noticed the russet wolf coiled up in the center like a snake. Only when she finally let out a sight of defeat and lowered her gaze did she, and when she did, she leapt back a feet or two in surprise before snorting loudly in agitation. Her heart pounded furiously in her chest but her body remained relaxed (okay, a little on edge) looking at least, her ears flattened back and puppy-like fur puffed up in an attempt to look ready-to-fight (something near impossible for a wolf cursed with puppy down their whole life.)

"Do you mind? Not all of us want to be so... surprised, you know. Next time, make a noise or something, alright buddy?"

Ah, so she'd not learn social eloquence yet.
