Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

I noticed the boy's confusion at the word Gamma. With a slight roll of my eyes I parted my maw once again to explain further. So you know, Gamma is the third in command of a pack. A rank I've held for a good portion of my time here. The words were friendly enough, holding only a bit of the tone one uses to talk to pups. I was pleased by his reaction to my mock anger. I eased my haunches onto the ground, nodding to the ebony male. He had reacted just as I had hoped he would; submissively. I didn't know why I was being so particular and, to some degree, harsh. It wasn't my normal attitude and felt unnatural to me.

I listened politely as the boy presented himself. His reason for coming to our boarders was the same as any other. Same story I had heard a million and one times before. His last statement was what caught my attention and a sly smile caressed my lips. The pack for you, eh? And what has made you broken and shattered, young one? Perhaps the inquiry would catch him off guard. But, hey, that's what this pack was all about, what it was for. We're the refuge for the broken. That's what this place was for me all those moons ago. We weren't whole by far but we were strong. And we healed here.

My attention pulled over to my apparent pack mate. Her name hit my towers and was filed away for future reference. I dipped my head in friendly greeting. Soon after, the boy speaks his own name. Nice to meet you, Blaze, and I thank you for watching the boarder. Pleasure to meet you, as well, Zloy. With the words, I give the two a big, overly dramatic bow as chuckles spill from between my ivories. I was back to my usual friendly, giggly self. After giving my pelt a bit of a shake, I once again lowered my rump to the terra to await any words either midnight lupine had to say.

words.
