Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

If I could hear the inner turmoil of my brother’s thoughts what would I have done? Scoffed? No perhaps been offended? No I would have probably laughed until I held no breath left in my lungs. Of course I did not get any of my conquests pregnant. Did my little brother know anything about heat? That delicious scent that comes over a bitch that makes us males go mad with lust? I did, and when I scented such a delectable aroma I ran like hell in the opposite direction no matter how much my loins stir. So that typically meant I stayed the hell out of dodge during the winter season but hey I did not want little bastards yipping and nibbling on the perfection that is I. I did not know about any nephews or that my dearest brother had coupled with the inky lass he was bound too and once I hear of such news I would probably look upon him differently. But then again he is still my blood and I still loved him with all my heart. As for the rugrats well that was a totally different matter. I did not do well with children and tended to avoid them like the plague. For they were the demons who had grubby paws and filthy mouths!

It was then that my brother decided to throw upon me news that shakes me to the core. Without thought my lips curl and I bare my fangs. How dare he take another to warm his den after the demise of our beloved Zeivah! And so soon as well! Did he not have any respect?! Well okay maybe he could have mated with her and sent her on her merry way for a man has needs but to breed her! To bring forth blight upon what we hold dear! It was blasphemy and with vehemence I turn to Az, my eyes on fire. ”It is further proof that our father has fallen off the pure path. First he takes apprentices of unworthy blood, now he breeds with what can only be filth! I am appalled, can this actually be the same one we call Father?!” I spit the words out, even as the truth of them slices me. He, the very Heyel, who almost didn’t deem me worthy of his time. Who disregarded my tiny form when I approached him when I thought he was hurting my mother. The same who stretched the importance of our ways and of blood. Who legitimized me? Who I will hold in high esteem no matter what he did? My Heyel, my father?

It is then that my attention is drawn back to the fool in the bush and I turn all the rage upon it. I was gone for the emergence of Demon bloodlines therefore did not know everything behind the scent that clung to these two intruders but I did feel my brother’s reaction. I felt it as if it was my own fueling my dislike and overflowing into near hatred. I lick my canine, the pink flesh drawing the fur of my maw down as I all but snarl as he reveals himself, the coward. His form is dark, almost that of night yet he is painfully thin and I recoil. A second passes before I burst into laughter, the jovial sound mocking the frail being in front of the Gods that is Az and I. What did he actually think he was going to do? Bone us to submission? I mean I already felt the discomfort that is to come when I will eventually press my paws to those sharp angles that make up his body. A nudge causing me to once again focus on the boy, my laughter dying upon my lips…slightly. ”As skinny as he is I fear his tail will snap should he tuck it. Come on boy lets test my theory. Tuck it.”

However this encounter has provided me with some information, such as the pack they belong to is called Iromar and that the angelic looking femme is actually a traitor. Go figure for had she been pure I would most definitely courted her. She had spunk and her dorsal is quite befitting her curvaceous form. I also noticed that they gave away each other’s names while my brother and I titles have yet to leave our pristine lips. They must not work together much for if they did they would not be so careless despite how the mangy mutt trying his paw at protection. A smirk graces my features as my brother sighs, my eyes rolling to accentuate his dramatic show. I allow him to lead, remaining standing and watching the pair with growing amusement. ”Poor poor boy. Even your female does not want you around. Perhaps you should run along now, I am sure my brother and I know how to treat her much better than you.” Did I have any intention on being nice to her? No but it seems the male, Dimitri, wanted to protect her so I would ruffle his fur some.

With daring beauty and ease I walk closer to the female, rounding the male to his right. ”I think I shall. She is rather charming if you ignore her foul mouth.” Still walking, forcing Dimitri to circle to continue facing me if he wants to continuing protecting her. I do this so that before long he will place his back to my brother. Eyes delve into the forest depths of the girl and I smile. ”Why do you require names my dove? What I have planned need not such formalities.” If she thought I was just going to give my identity away so easily she was sadly mistaken. Beside she was only a toy, something to amuse me and if she is good perhaps more than once.
