Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

One eye lifted upward, my lord? Well, that was new and yet it would be an utter lie to say I didn’t appreciate the gesture even remotely. I allowed a grin to alight my features a few moments as the rather scruffy looking fellow lowered himself. Honestly it is pleasing to see that some wolves still remember they are talking to a King. Maybe I did get a little old- but as far as I am concerned I became no less intelligent and no less important, though it would see these days there are a few wolves around who believe that so, else seem content to try and abscond with my position of dominance and hierarchy in this life. When I am dead they can fight over what remains of my empire, not before and honestly there are one or two who need to remember their place in this life. Iblis, however, seems remarkably well-adjusted and well versed for a loner in the presence of his superior. I like him and indeed nodded with some respect towards him at his pleasing gesture before my attempts to invite him in seemed to do him in completely. Perhaps he has been attacked before upon the borders of a pack, else he merely had a healthy respect for boundaries and yet I would hardly have invited him in if I didn’t desire it, violet eyes resting against his own as he seemed to consider the decision. Well, at least he was thoughtful, that is a pleasing notion.
After a few moments the evidently well-worn warrior seemed to make his decision, rising to move within the boarders after a few words of thanks, his smaller, lighter form falling into step with my own. Indeed I was mildly surprised at his appearance, I have met this wolf before and yet in my mind I recall him as being….larger, or at least slightly heavier in appearance, there was no denying his fitness of course, the muscle and tone was obvious and yet really- that he has survived even this long at his foxish size (in my opinion) was rather intriguing. Perhaps he had merely looked larger next to Illuminada, the silvery girl had never been large herself. I paused a moment, nostalgic once more at the thoughts of the little silver female. I was never meant to lead a pack, that had never been in my life long plan as so much that had occurred hadn’t. I’d never believed myself capable of actually being able to care beyond myself and those precious few worthy of actual emotion and yet, despite myself, Trenus had been everything. My Pack…all of them, hell, they had all been worth something. I had one goal, one job, one thing to do and one promise to keep- to protect them and in the end I couldn’t save them, not all of them. They say I did enough, they say without me so many more would have died and yet some is not all. I saved some…..what about the others I let down? Never will I admit it, never, for to display such feelings is a vile weakness I refuse to tease with, yet some art of myself just can’t let it go. SO many died, so many I had sworn to protect, who had trusted within myself. I should have done more. I have never done enough. Perhaps that is my punishment for this life I have led- never resting, always more to do. No rest for the wicked they say. I smiled, briefly to myself, pushing these thoughts away as Iblis chose that moment to speak, my attention returning to him.
I paused, moving to sit beneath one of my more favoured trees, gesturing for him to continue and speak of this news he had brought, his own deep words telling me that which I was well aware of, the continuous theft, for no reason, of the wolves of Diveen. I nodded yet chose to remain silent for now, assured that there had to be more to his speech then just that. Indeed if he decided to end it there I may well be marginally offended, as it was, he continued, speaking of this Sameal and Andromeda, my head inkling in a nod once more.
“I have had my suspicions for some time on that particular wolf, your words merely confirm it so I thank you for that. You may put your mind at ease however, that wolf, that False Angel- is gone, or so my sources tell me. He at least, won’t plague this pack any further with his idiocy.”
I shook my head slightly as I spoke, violet eyes rolling in utter disdain at the thought of such a creature, coloured so like my own children and yet so obviously mislead in not only his choice of Pack and company, yet basic sense as well. Stealing a pregnant female because she appeared hungry? Had the world gone mad? To the last of my knowledge, Demons consumed others, it is what makes them demonic by definition, it is why we were raised to destroy them, to protect those around us who cannot protect themselves. Really, as far as Demons went Iromar were merely a very unattractive collection of unfortunately coloured wolves, how demonic they actually were was debatable, I was yet to have evidence against more then a few as to their cannibalistic natures. The others were merely ugly enough that I was content to destroy them and save my eyes the pain of looking at them. We have however, strayed from the point. Iblis spoke once more, the violet of my gaze regarding him levelly a moment as he offered himself, his fangs and his life to the cause of Diveen. Hmm, it is rare to find one so willing these days, in fact it is rare to find a warrior who remembers old ways, then again, he is not so young either, he was there before the sky fell- he remembers what Moladion was and can be again once these creatures are removed and really, assassin or not, Angel or not, it hardly matters. Fangs are fangs when the day is done and I will not turn from those offered willingly. I stepped forward, moving to brush against him, marking him as Diveen, as my own, as an honourable Angel for all intensive purposes, smirk lining my features.
“Then Diveen is open to you to use as you see fit, welcome Iblis, if you protect us, we will protect you, Miles Angelum.”
Yes, that name suited him much better. Warrior Angel.
“Now tell me, what else do you know or Iromar? Perhaps we may benefit from sharing a little information, hmm?”

THE RANKS
Lightning Queen
The Queen of Diveen. She may accept all challenges and block any steal. She is the sworn protector of the pack and all who reside here.
Thunder King
The Lightning Queen's mate and second-in-comman. He may accept any challenge and block all steals. He may accept new members. This position cannot be challenged for but is currently empty.
Whirlwind
This rank belongs to the closest advisor to the Lightning Queen. This wolf can block steals and accept new members. When there is no Thunder King, this rank may accept challenges. This rank cannot be challenged for.
Stormfront
These wolves are the protectors of the borders and are personal guards to the Lightning Queen. They may help to gauge new wolves and are essentially the domestic protector. In certain times they may be called upon to resolve domestic disputes, but generally they are tasked with watching the borders or staying close to the Lightning Queen. At times, information may need to be brought to the Stormfront who will personally deliver messages to the Lightning Queen.
Quake
The Quake is the lead warrior and in charge of the Tremors, who make up the brute force of the pack. This wolf is a protector of the borders and may accept new wolves. They may be called upon to help gauge a new member. They train the Tremors. Haze
The Haze is the head thief and secret keeper of the pack, charged with acting in the pack’s best interest and operating with a low profile. They train the Mists. They also act as a scout, relaying and finding out information. They work closely with the Tsunami. This wolf may block steals. Monsoon
The Monsoon is the lead healer and caregiver of the pack. They are tasked with healing wounds, assisting with births, and making sure that the pack remains happy and healthy both mentally and physically. They may also be called upon to boost morale through storytelling or other means. They train the Rains. Tsunami
The Tsunami is the lead diplomat and peacekeeper, tasked with protecting the pack from internal and external strife, as well as form treaties and ally with other packs in conjunction with the Lightning Queen and Whirlwind. They report directly to the Lightning Queen, and train the Tides. Blizzard
The Blizzard works closely with the Haze, but is more of an information gatherer. They may act as a thief at times, but are largely tasked with spying and scouting, reporting their findings to their superiors. Hurricane
The Hurricane is the head hunter of the pack. They train the Wind and organize pack hunts.
Rainbow
This wolf is the joker of the pack. Their job is to bring a smile to everyone's face and try to keep a light mood. They will be tasked with caring for pups and keeping an eye on them. They are the keeper of all types of fun and games for the pack. Gale
The Gale is concerned mostly with keeping track of the history of the pack, collecting stories and learning of events that might have happened long ago. They might tell history as stories to pups or create events in honor of those who have gone before.
Tremors
These wolves report to the Quake and make up the protectors and warriors of the pack.
Mists
The agents of the Haze, these wolves are tasked with maintaining order through more secretive means.
Tides
The Tides are diplomats and report to the Tsunami, they may be tasked with updating treaties or contacting allies.
Rains
These are the healers and caregivers of the pack, and they report to the Monsoon. They may be called upon as healers or babysitters. Winds
These are the hunters of the pack, responsible for feeding each member. They report to the Hurricane. Snows
These are the scouts of the pack, reporting to the Blizzard- they are involved with information gathering, both internal and external, and may be called upon as guerilla fighters of sorts should the time come.
Dusk
The general members of the pack, those who have not yet chosen a path or rank. However, they are still highly valued and may be called upon for other things.
Twilight
The apprentices of the pack, pups older than one who are in training.
Dawn
The innocence and the future of our pack.
Day
Esteemed guests of the pack.
Sun
Those allied with the pack, to be treated with respect and offered assistance.
Moon
Those who shine down upon us and guide us with their light.
Eclipsed
Those who have proven themselves enemies of the pack, they should not be trusted.
