At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

It had been some time since Kiaori had last set foot in Blossom. It had been her home, the place she had chosen to settle and begin a new life- but all too soon she had taken a leave. The red-head was not sure how long she had been gone, but she did know that it was time for her to return. But instead of visiting her usual place among the flowers that grace Blossom Field, she quietly and slowly picked her way toward the vast lake she had only visited a few times. Any thought of any comrade she had known years ago were nonexistent. They had to have all moved on by now, found new things, new lives, met other new wolves. Kia had not much to show for the last year or so, but she did not mind. And what she did have to show was the fact that she was no longer a young, naïve, barely grown up teenager. While she still retained her child-like wonder of the beauty of life, she had learned much about life and the way of things. And she had not seen a friend nor friendly face through that entire time. The last wolf she had seen had been Jabari. And that meeting had been brief, and she had been helpful to his injury, but sweet things seem to come in small amounts.

Kiaori had not seen Paladin, either, her big brother, one of the ex-Alpha’s of Cold Summers. She had planned to one day pay him a visit within the packlands he ruled over- but he no longer ruled over them. Scents and whispers told Kia this, and so she knew she had no where in particular to go. So she had chosen the lake, as it was a pleasant spring afternoon, and with the heat getting on- she did not mind the thought of cool, crisp water nor the promise of shade by any nearby forest. Of course there was the fact that other wolves were bound to be at the large body of water at this time, but the fiery red-head did not think about the fact or dwell on it. Others were not currently her concern, and she wasn’t actively looking for anyone to spend time with.

And yet when she came across a pale wolf, almost golden in hue, gazing at some of the foliage growing from the earth at the shore of the lake, Kia slowed her pace. While she had normally continued onward and gone about her business as she had the last while, she instead cocked her skull curiously to one side and ceased movement all together to watch the interesting fellow. He did not seem to notice her at first, but then again, perhaps he had been aware of her the entire time. With her bubbling, signature curiosity getting the better of her, and perhaps her young self coming forth once more- the almost careless and naïve curious red-head she had been before- she spoke suddenly to him, breaking the silence that had hung in the air since Kia first had spotted him. "So.. what’s so interesting about a white and yellow flower, stranger?" The girl truly was rather curious about what had grabbed the males attention to utterly and thoroughly when it came to the plant. While Kiaori herself enjoyed flowers, she had never stared so intently and.. focused upon one. Though she did not recline on her haunches, the red-head remained where she stood, her skull tilted ever so slightly and her bright amber eyes watching the stranger politely, awaiting his response.
