Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Alana had seen the chaos in Glorall and decided that it couldn't be the best environment for a new wolf to show up in. Not a wolf like her at least. She was too small, too easily beaten if it came to a fight. She would wait, bide her time. Once a new alpha took over, there would most likely be room for many others to join the pack. She would join them then. She already thought of the land as her home though, knowing that it would be eventually unless some dirastic changes occurred that made it too unsafe to live there.

After she left the beach, she just wandered, familiarizing herself with these new lands. Her light weight and short stature meant that she was mostly covered by the grass as she moved through the field, looking almost more like a moving rock than a creature.

She paused, catching a fresh scent on the wind. There had been others as she had wandered, but feint. This one smelled like the other wolf was nearby. Changing her course slightly, crouching down lower, she turned toward the new wolf. The light colored wolf appeared among the grass fairly quickly, sitting among it. Alana crouched low, trying to avoid direction. She was currently to the right of the wolf, not straight on. The other wolf seemed to be just scanning the distance. She couldn’t smell any others, just this one female. Standing again, though her full height wasn’t much, she approached the other wolf, stopping a safe distance away. The ground was firm here and with the distance between them, Alana was fairly sure she could outrun the other wolf if it came to that.

“Hello,” she said softly, so that the female would only just be able to hear her. “I’m Alana. Are you new to these lands?”
