News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

I suppose it was a moral question, really. After all there could be no right or wrong, not truly, not in this answer. Unborn children are not governed exactly by the same rules as those who squirm and gasp for air. They are potential life, not life, not to my eyes and yet many even within our order believe otherwise. They will not bring harm to a pregnant creature purely because of the children she carries. Some will if her pregnancy is still earlier, some will murder regardless. Truly the violet-eyed girl cannot answer wrong, though indeed I am of the opinion some answers are more correct then others it matters little, truly, I am merely curious as to the way of her mind, to better understand how she may think or indeed where it is she will draw the line in this game- how far can she truly be pushed. Perhaps my methods are unusual and yet they are old as time itself. We have been trained and raised this way for generation upon generation and we are yet to truly falter. Iromar has already crumbled, or so I am told, Baphomet dead and buried within that foul fog. Hmm, I told him he’d never live to see the Summer. Evidently I am entirely more accurate in my guesses then even I am willing to believe. Who will take over that useless pack remains to be seen and yet until they find a leader once more I will be content to merely observe again, I see no need to murder and slay innocent pack wolves, let them live. Demons will show themselves again soon enough and I will merely put my plan into action, it’s about time the girl saw a little blood. Then again, perhaps we can hope that whoever takes Bath Mat’s spot will prove to be entirely more intelligent and keep him or herself low to the ground and out of my way. I didn’t really get to have any fun with poor Baph, silly fool died of the pressure apparently, lets see if his successor can entertain me more.

I allowed my gaze to return to the girl, her attention once more firmly within herself. It was refreshing indeed to have a student who actually took the time to think about her answers before shouting them back at me as Malina had done, or informing me or continuous useless information as Eris had before informing me of all the ways I could have asked the question better. I had been given to have doubts about the girl at first, her ties with Iromar a major irritation, like a burr in my pelt and yet, it would seem from what I have learned that she has made the right choice and realised where he true loyalties lay and where she has the better chance of survival. For ten years I have controlled the Assassins, for ten years we have been a force in Moladion and once more our enemies have only proven our superiority, rising and falling in the same flamboyant manner they all do. The Demons gave it a nice try and yet once more they are nothing. I smirked, pleased at my own thoughts for now as the she took it upon herself to answer, her words assured and convicted. Good. Indecision is a weakness and I am pleased to see it is one she does not possess. Her words are bold and confident, her reasoning sound as I nodded, almost offering a smile, indeed, I rarely give praise unless my apprentices are truly deserving- and today she was.

“Good. Whatever decision you make in regards to that, because one day you will face it, remember what you chose, remember why and remember that you did not hesitate. To hesitate is to die. I killed her and I would do so again.”

I moved then, lifting myself to my paws, prepared to head into the free lands with my apprentice in to when she spoke again. Well, at least she was not asking stupidly ambiguous questions as Aaliyah had all those years ago. Honestly I still had nightmares about that day. She however did not seek to question, merely to understand and indeed what she asked was not entirely unfounded. I regarded her another moment, head tilting slightly before I spoke, shrugging wolfishly.

“I will not murder a child born of Demons until he turns one, on that I am absolute, yet that does not mean I will save him either. Rules are rules Paulo Draco, but rules can be carefully……bent sometimes. I would not kill him, but I would not take him in. The elements will kill him, nature will kill him if I refuse him entry, that is law of wolf. The weak die and the strong survive. If fate decrees he dies then so be it, saves me the effort later. So in answer to your question- no, I would not take him in, but I would not kill him, let fate decide if he lives until one and if he does I’ll kill him then. I broke no laws, did I? I killed no child, I merely didn’t help his survival.”

One eye lifted, teasing momentarily as I chuckled, tail flicking in signal for her to follow. Rules are rules but every rule has another side to it, you just need to learn how to play this game of life. Fortunately, Khaleesi has the best of the best as her teacher now doesn’t she?
