The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Watch Me Come Undone

I feel him before I even smell him. It's like he consumes me. I can feel his anger, his tension. He must be royally pissed at the wolves who didn't show. My body shudders as images of him taking it out on another come to mind. I might even like it if he wants to take it out on me. I brush such naughty thoughts away as I hear his paws now moving toward me. Did he follow me here? I don't care, not tonight. He doesn't slow down as he approaches, rather dashing out of the woods like he's running from something, though I'd like to tell myself that he's running to something, rather someone. Me. I inhale sharply as he comes into view, his masculine figure taking my breath away like it does so much. Usually this is about the time I put up a mask but not this time. This time, I feel like being myself. He stares at me, silent for once and I hold my breath, wondering what he's seeing when he looks at me. I hold still like a statue, unable to move and yet unable to speak, not wanting to ruin the perfect silence surrounding us. He starts walking toward me and I wait with bated breath until I'm breathing in his smoky cologne, its perfection astounding even now. His voice is whisper soft, my ears straining forward to hear it as he tells me that I'm beautiful. My eyes search his, wishing I could peel back the layers and see the mysterious within. Always just out of reach, but his eyes are filled with lust and want, something I can understand because they're just mirrors of my own eyes, reflections of what I must be showing right now. My breath comes out shaky as I continue to stare at him, speechless. I could ask him why he didn't say it then but I already know the answer somehow. I can see the fear in his eyes too, the excitement intermingled with it. He was scared, that's why he didn't say anything. Unbidden, my lips draw back slowly into a smirk, eyes gleaming mysteriously as I start getting to my paws. Once up, I move into him as if it's natural, rubbing my body down his ribcage, inhaling his musky scent as I circle around behind him. My muzzle draws up to his ear.

"It's a good thing I was willing to wait just to hear you say it."
