The walk back to Munashii Gekko was silent and quick – there had been no glances from Genisys, though Aindreas found his own icy gaze glancing toward the fae quite often. And his blue orbs took in the fae’s focused forward gaze and felt his hopes droop – she didn’t care for him. All she had wanted was a meal out of him. They had both had their fill of the goat that they had taken down, and she most likely had only wanted a full stomach when she had to face Serris. Too quickly, the pair of them reached the border of Munashii Gekko, the invisible boundary of scents infiltrating his snowy pelt once more. The brute sat upon his haunches on the far side of the boundary, and allowed his orbs to glance upward from the ground to the fae that still sat outside of the boundary.
Genisys remained on the far side of the boundary, awaiting Serris. Aindreas raised his maw toward the sky and opened his white maw, allowing a call to ring out once more. He knew Serris had been dealing with the brute that may or may not be Genisys’ sister, but he wanted to tell Serris of their change of location at the border. Before he lowered his maw, he noticed another unknown scent being carried upon the breeze that ran through the terra. It was a fae, and her scent seemed to be intermingled with Munashii Gekko’s internal scent, but she was unknown to him. Perhaps she was one of the pack members who had been long absent from the packland…
The brute caught Gen’s sight switch to focus upon him, and he allowed his gaze to lay upon her. She remained silent for a few moments, before opening her maw and asking him a question. What are you thinking of, Aindreas? Her voice was quiet and silky. The brute remained silent… the last time that she had asked that question, he had barely known the fae and he had not responded kindly. He would not repeat such an action. “I am thinking of my Lord. He had been absent for a long time on a kind of holiday and though he has since returned, I have not seen him much as of late. I just miss his presence – he reminds me of the wolf that practically raised me, a grey brute named Kalgalath. I suppose I just miss his friendship. ” Aindreas left out of his speech that he was downtrodden at his dashed feelings, not wanting to make the situation awkward for the fae. “I’m sure he will be here soon… Oh, and Genisys… you are a great hunter. We worked well together.” The brute fell silent for a moment, before speaking once more.
