She was happy that Cai had cheered up; at least that idea had worked. The ebony femme was happiest when the people around her were, and she had already taken a guess that Cai was a wolf with a sweeter nature. Sometimes one just needed someone to talk to, and the ivory ess beside her was no exception. It was extremely hard to carry on alone.
However, when Cai inquired about herself she hesitated, unsure. Though Misty and Zev knew slightly of her history, nobody knew the full story and Blaze wasn't sure it was something she could ever fully explain. Pity could possibly make how she felt worse, and Blaze wasn't big on wallowing in emotions. She had already discovered that while focussing on lingering feelings, one could lose sight of what was happening around them, and experience she'd had enough to last a lifetime of.
"My family were not the nicest of wolves and sometimes memories are a curse."
She left it there, hoping the other feya would understand how reluctant she was to open up about what had really happen. Blaze was also terrified that the talk could lead to more memories she didn't necessarily want to remember.
"Bright Moon's amazing, though I'm one of the newer members. The wolves there are amazing as well."
She smiled softly at the other ess before continuing,
"Well, I'm guessing you're not an Abentrot assassin...So what's it like in Saw Tooth? I've heard great things about there too."
She couldn't keep her humour out of the first part: Blaze found it only too funny to mock the pack that was known for it more monstrous reputation. Seriously? They were school yard bullies, with big ego's. That was all there was to it really.
Still, she was curious about Cai and her life. She wasn't really sure what other packs were like.
