Forbidden Secret

His life had changed so much. Forbiddens life, that was. Between being abandoned and lost, he'd found a mother; maybe one that wouldn't leave him to fend for himself.
He found himself at Leisure Lake, a place he immediately felt comfortable at. The chestnut pup inhales the fresh scents of grass, water and sweet smelling flowers, along with listening to the sounds of the trickling lake.
His head quickly turned when he heard the soft words of Lolita. Giving a nod of his head in reply to her first question, he begun to sit down. Although his paws had begun to ache as much as his rump he hadn't minded the walk, for it meant he was getting closer to a better life. For a moment be begun to gaze off, concentrating on the smallest aspects of nature. Though once again his mother spoke which made him turn his head again. He smiled and replied in a low tone,
"I'm not too hungry, the fire killed prey...So, I was able to eat a bit of crisp elk on the way to the meadows."
For a moment he frowned, though after a moment he shook his head; his final answer to her question. Forbidden never had been a large eater, though, which was why the pup was slightly underweight. Once again he concentrated on the lake, as if it were something way more interesting.
