Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Now this- really was a little mean of me. As already stated though I had no actual interest in mauling a Father to pieces in front of his child, at least not today and as far as villains in Moladion go, Vague is hardly worth my effort. No, some lesser assassin can come and finish him off, I, personally, do not get out of bed for petty crimes no matter how much they piss me off. I will however, intimidate and terrify- just to remind him exactly of what he did wrong. Children are a personal thing and he attacked mine. Honestly how Tobias hadn’t eaten him yet remains to be seen yet even so, he laid fangs into my child and right of mind or not I was still a little aggrieved. He also attacked members of our Order and it is about time that Paulo Draco learned that while we are individuals, that in the end every assassin thinks first of himself, that does not mean we do not have even some unity. Her Art Brothers and Sisters, while surely complaining about it the entire time- will always have her back in one way of another. Our Art is as ancient as time itself, this is our Brotherhood and an attack against one is an attack against all, one Vague is still to pay for and really, for Malina’s bite mark and Aaliyah’s annoyance I was willing to repay the favour. You do not toy with Assassins, especially not those belonging to my order. He hadn’t killed anyone so I wasn’t about to kill him now, irritation deserves irritation in return don’t you think? Although, in this case I believed I was merely terrifying him. Good. I chuckled lightly as he spoke, tucking his child close to him, assuring the girl all would be well. Poor girl, Daddy was already lying to her. Nothing in this life would ever be ok, life isn’t nearly that kind, then again, it was Khaleesi who would have a say over that today.

The girl moved to seat herself beside me, one violet eye flicking downward to assure myself of her position, analysing her form, watching with mild interest the way she sat and held herself, tall, proud, confident where a weaker creature would have fumbled, there heartstrings pulled and tugged at the sight of the Father clinging to his daughter. Good. Khaleesi, while not completely unemotional, for she is not Tobias after all, is capable of understanding her work and the value of appearance. So much of this life is a game, you just need to know how to play and the sooner she learns to act with the confidence and arrogance that is so rightfully hers the better- after all, if you believe it, if you believe you own this world- so does everyone else. You just have to know how to act and today, she is impressive in her stance at least, assuming for all the world she is assured of her place. Confidence, baby girl, is everything. I flashed her another easy grin, Vague ignored for the most part until he seemed to manage a growl, his ears layered back in submission upon his head, the first tendrils of fear beginning to leak from his form…..so……..intoxicating and my own rather personal weakness . Fear is- delicious. It’s like static, a caress to my veins and truly I felt my heckles lift ever so slightly, feeding off the taste in the air before I spoke to my apprentice once more.

“Vos odorandum quod Parva Draco? Lassus est, tam delicate weaved intra a'r adhuc ibi omnes idem. Ut parvulus est victoria missa est timere, quod cum viderint te extenderent manum contra inimicos.”
(Do you smell that, Little Dragon? It is faint, weaved so delicately within the air yet there all the same. That, young one, is fear and that is the scent of victory, that is when you know you have the upper hand.)

Lips lifted abruptly, head snapping towards Vague in a flash of fangs and fur, standing suddenly as if to rush towards him with a snapping, roaring snarl, claws scraping at the earth before the sound broke off into a chuckle once more, having aimed to do no more then spook the silly creature further as I sat once more having not moved at all, lunging to my feet merely for entertainment.

“If your going to snarl at me Vague, put some effort into it, please.”

Dismissing him once more I turned again to Khaleesi as she spoke, curious as to her judgement on this. Would she condemn a Demon-born child that had done nothing? Her earlier morals seemed to imply she might be inclined to feel as such and yet, despite her lack of empathy for such creatures I am inclined to believe she is not so foolish as to be blinded by her beliefs. Whatever decision she makes will be up-held, though wether she knows that or not is debatable, just as surely as she may remain unaware that if she decided to Mark this child, this Ska, then she will be the one to carry out the punishment. That is only fair, is it not? I nodded as she spoke, her words showing obvious disgust at the creatures before her and yet…..some degree of fairness in her call. Hmm, this one might actually prove to grow into something useful, apparently Azrael does have some skill of picking talent out of the rabble.

“Then so be it. Ska is pardoned until the day she falls in with the majority of her family. She is yours to watch now Khaleesi.”

I may well have been content to leave at that point, having given my apprentice a real world example and indeed observed her skills, I might have stayed a little longer for the pure entertainment value and yet I had a few more stops to make- that would have to wait, for another scent decided to make itself annoyingly known. Tesseract. At least I think that is his name, honestly I hardly care and really why any Mother would name their child that I don’t know. I suppose it could be shortened to Tess- but isn’t that just a bit feminine? The white male moved to seat himself nearby Vague and Ska, greeting Khaleesi with a dip of his head, my own violet eyes content to watch him before they could not help but roll within my skull at his words as I sighed rather dramatically. Why not have a little more fun?

“Do you hear that Khaleesi? No? Listen harder. It’s the ambience being ruined- and oh…there it goes, to be filled with the words of insignificant little fools who don’t know when to shut it.”

I grinned, one eye lifting in teasing dare towards the boy as I returned the dip of his head, respectful at least, of the fact he had the balls to actually talk to me at all. Most wolves really don’t and really, I have little issue with Tesseract save the fact he has now annoyed me by showing up. Aside from that I could hardly care less about a boy who was born beneath my reign all those years ago, who I’d watched over as a child. How quickly we forget.

“and allow me to answer that, brainwashing may, in fact, be the wrong choice of word yet I would hardly be inclined to sing the praises of your siblings, boy. Your family is evidently genetically engineered to fail, or at least prone to deformity. Isn’t one of you a mute? One a cripple? One an emotional cripple although that boys problems only seem to start there. The others are dead or missing last check I had, only you and the golden-eared fellow seem to have survived to any use- and that is debatable.”

I sighed once more at the thoughts of that Vidar fellow that Azrael had befriended. Honestly, of all those he could have chosen as friends- why him? Elric I was willing to tolerate for his use to Diveen, Tesseract was……really nobody to be considered about and my demeanour evidently showed it. Khaleesi really was fortunate to have been plucked from his clutches early- the boy never would amount to much I was entirely convinced. At least not as much as Khaleesi herself. Shame really, he was a fairly decent looking fellow. He spoke once more, commenting on my good health- well, that was pleasant of him I suppose, before proceeding to ruin any thoughts of intelligence I may have had about him. I scowled, one eye flicking teasingly towards my apprentice before I moved to face him more fully, appraising his form, Vague ignored for now though I allowed one ear to remain trained towards him less he decide to lunge at me or something ridiculous. I offered the boy an easy grin as I spoke, words smooth and calm as always.

“Vague may teach Ska to hunt anything he likes, I have no interest whatsoever in his owl- though I do fancy a snack, we’ll see. As for the rest of your little spiel, I have every interest in a wolf who held no true rank under Baphomet. After all, Baphomet’s Iromar was as short-lived as the idiot himself. Can’t be much damn use can they? Vague knows rather a lot more then he pretends. Now if I wanted to talk to you I would have found you- as it is, I don’t. You can go now, thank you for your time and ruining the moment.”

I flashed another grin in his direction, one eye lifting, waiting to see if he had any intention of leaving, I hardly cared either way, I was almost done here- I’m merely being difficult and I do have one or two more questions for Vague. I paused again, offering Khaleesi any chance she sought to speak if she desired.

“One last thing Vague, tell me, how is Ruvindra? Does she still believe the shadows are out to get her? Shame, she is missing so much of her daughters obvious education, just the one this season?”

There is a reason to every question I ask, I do not just merely enjoy teasing. I am intrigued to know if Ruvindra still lingers in this life. Let us see who will sell her out. Mate, or son.
