Carden Alvar Nature Board by Bob BowlesArrivals, Shrike & Wylie Rds.

On a quick trip late this afternoon I heard a Black-throated Green and a Black and White warbler in various wooded areas on Shrike north of McNamee. Marsh Wrens were singing in the Sedge Wren Marsh. A pair of Bluebirds rested in a tree, a Yellow Warbler sang, and a Snipe winnowed overhead north of the marsh. Kingbirds hunted. Back in the marsh a Common Yellowthroat was singing. Good day (not counting the blackflies!)
