News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

restless: i found your weakness

She had no idea what exactly she should have thought of the strange rocks and bones; her homeland had its fair share of mystics, sure, but they were seldom seen alongside any others. They retreated more often enough into the caves or forests, living their lives without mate or pack - she had clung to Celesdue out of fear that she would do the same, though her fears had been alleviated with the introduction of Phobia into their unusual family. There had never been any expectation that she would have mothered a mystic at any rate - her blood held little connection with the other world, undoubtedly squashed out through decades of breeding. Paldor was something else, though, for his art was there in the open for her to see, no longer hidden away in the shadows and she felt a strange longing to read the assortment of nick knacks. She could not look away, her entire form leaning in to catch a better glimpse of every angle and shadow the bones' cast as they landed. Maybe they would speak to her, let it be known what it was she had to do - but all the same, what if they spoke of death, the fall of another. She would never understand the burden the casting had but in that moment, she thought she had glimpsed at it.

Even as he had watched her, she had barely looked away - instead, her ear had merely swiveled towards him in case he uttered a word. With such few words, she felt no obligation to respond and he seemingly cast his attention back to the strange thing before them once again. It was then that her attention returned to him, watching as his eyes grew wide with each pass over - she, too, grew wide of eye if only out of fear for what he had read. If it could have, her heart would have very well have leapt from her throat and taken off into the mists - instead, she was forced to endure the unbearable beating against her ribs, a reminder that she could steal feel fear. She feared in that moment for Ska, her youngest, and all her children alive and dead; she feared for Paldor, for even Ishtar and her own children, too aware of the pain death could bring.

She felt less fear, however, for one she had expected to ache over the thought of to the point where she was taken aback, attempting to shake away her confusion quite literally. She felt less fear for the man who had left her hungry come the time her belly had grown to swollen; for the man who had left her to bleed before Baphomet and his kin while he waited in the shadows; the one who had left her alone to birth their daughter, having only emerged when the girl was old enough to move about. She could not understand it, her mind a blur and yet, Paldor had seemingly spoken once again in perfect timing. She frowned at his words, moving to speak and yet she merely opened and closed her mouth as a fool - children? Young? But she had lost so many - would she lose more? Would his dreams speak of the death of those that remained? Perhaps Vidar... perhaps something had happened. The obscurity, the vagueness of the answers, it burned at her.

"Dreams.. they, they will come soon, yes? And... what is a Duchess?"

She was cut off by his sigh, her body straightening up as she frowned darkly - there was a story to be told and she often found stories being less... desirable. They often spoke of things she had wished she did not know, or of things she had wished she knew before. What he spoke of seemed strange, the idea of a pairing and yet she remembered then with a stab of pain that she, too, had arranged for her golden child - Elric - to be paired with the strange Iromar girl, Seren. She bit down, clenching her teeth as she nodded curtly, attempting to keep her focus in the now rather than the then. It was difficult though - the talk of fire, fire falling from the sky. She remembered the blast, the sheer heat that had threatened to swallow them whole and Caligula's form rising through the ashes - he's dead, she had said, or perhaps there had been more. Elric, Crystarium, Ajax... all dead, lost to perhaps the very fires that had consumed this Duchess he spoke of. It was too much and she found her hackles rising along her spine, a quiet growl slipping through her clenched teeth before she looked away, starring down at the bones for lack of a better thing to do. It was not his fault. They all had their ghosts, hers simply chose to haunt her in a more physical way; strange remnants of their scents, silhouettes of their forms in the mists.

"We have all lost others in the fires but we do not give up what we are," she forced a sigh out, attempting to compose herself though she refused to make eye contact once more. It was all she had needed to say or so she had thought, at least - perhaps she had given up on being a Queen, twice now indeed, but she would always be Ruvindra and she would always be prepared to take the throne come weakness or necessity. He would look at the bag again just as she would always look up to the throne.

"I will go with you to Ishtar. I will be your shield," she finally breathed, slowly turning back to face him once more and forcing a small smile to her features though her eyes remained... cold, distant perhaps, "your dreams are your gift. You can fight fate."

Whether she speaks to herself or to him, she did not know. There was much on her mind and she does not know where to begin - it was all too obvious, too, plastered across her features like a billboard.

"Just... tell me when we must go."

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
