The mostly ebony brute simmered down his kill stance, seeing the fae was barely even putting up a fight. It was like she had already given up. He narrowed his eyes at the worthless piece of trash he was inches away from, stopping himself before he took what little life was left. Malignant Felicity wasn’t, nor would it ever be, a forgiving pack land. Only the tough prevailed here and Kohaku had almost took that lesson to heart before it had a chance to stop beating. Kaizer looked at her, his vivid, emerald optics showing Arcadians blood in his veins, while the scarlet splash that remained constantly on his throat and halfway down his chest showed the dominant Demonican lines. His lyrics were sweet, cool and calm, green snake like eyes piercing the air between him and the female.

I leave it to you to decide whether she lives or dies.

Death could be useful, Arc had taught him that. Kaizer remembered the feeling of making his first kill against his own kind, the way they went limp, the shorter, shallower breaths they took, the final flaying of their limbs as their brain shut off completely and the rest of the body fought to keep working. Kaizer gave her a few moments to acknowledge what he meant, then stepped off and well away from the fae, backing up to sit near Kohaku. The wolf would either lie there accepting her fate or run for her life, he didn’t expect Kohaku to attack the fae, but was curious to see her reaction. Once the wolf was either dead or gone, Kaizer told his brain to ignore the pheromones sweeping off Kohaku, trying to urge his mind to breed. He took a deep breath and told himself he wasn’t in the mood. If he had killed the fae, things may have gone differently.

I apologize for bursting in. I had no right to interrupt. Old habits die hard I guess.

He gave her a tight lipped smile and then softened his eyes, knowing his livid stare could get creepy after too long.

I haven’t seen you around much. Are you okay?

It was rather unexpected for these words to come out of his mouth, and yet they seemed to fit right between his tongue and teeth and spill out in front of this plain ess. Kaizer let himself sit, expecting her to probably walk off and be alone rather than speak to him. Wolves seemed to avoid the ebony knight and he mostly liked it that way, but he did find it rather boring and lonesome sometimes.
