I just realized there hasn't been a posting about this wonderful event, which starts Friday and runs through the weekend. You can register for one hike or paddle or discussion or photo shoot, or for lots. There are expert-led bird walks, insect observations, wilderness exploration trips on several of the Couchiching Conservancy's properties, even events led by ranchers, bee keepers --and of special interest to Carden Nature Board members, a tour of the Quaker Oaks animal sanctuary (don't know whether the poetical bus driver Mark Spurr will be there ...)
