WOW! Thanks so much for sharing this! My daughter went to Whitinsville Christian School in that town for many years.Is there just one lake in town?If so, I know where it is as she had friends from all over that town and one that lived on a lake they used to go snowmobiling on.There are certainly lots of places for big cats to keep hidden.You were brave to try to get closer - I think I would have tried to do the same thing!You may want to think about getting a trail cam and putting it in the area you saw it as getting that on film would be a real treat.I have not heard of anyone seeing a black one in our area.Their main source of food is deer, I believe,but I suppose Coyote would be on the menu,too.What a blessing to have seen what you saw!
