The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

I’m so addicted to you

The ebony and sliver varg widened his expression at her words. She had even withheld smiling at him for a long time and now one had snuck its way onto her face and it made Marx feel warm inside despite the torrential rain drenching them both. A cheeky lick was placed upon his snout and Marx felt himself tingle with pure electricity. He suddenly felt like sugar melting in the rain, turning into a glossy pool on the ground. Enigma suddenly leapt away into a puddle, soaking the already incredibly wet Marx to the bone. He grinned, a determined look in his eye.

Oh, I’m going to get you for that.

Marx snapped his jaws playfully and lunged after her, landing playfully in the same puddle she had probably vacated. They raced through the undergrowth and Marx veered sharply left and circled around and flanks the ivory hued vixen. She was such a beauty; he couldn’t help but admire her half anxious, half excited body language. E suddenly burst out of the foliage, a grin plastered on his paw, his slate orbs seeming to have absorbed the light and shone like blue ice. The wind buffeted them, making it seem colder than it was. Small steams of water were already developing to flow down the slight undulation of the ground. Marx pranced around Enigma, prancing and dancing, leaping in and out, nosing her flank and rushing away laughing or rushing in close and rubbing his length along hers.

Come here!

He suddenly lunged, aiming to pin his target to the ground with little force. If she wanted to, she could gladly reverse the roles by kicking out a back foot and rolling on top of him to pin her. He aimed to pin her on her back, face to face, his body standing over hers. If he succeeded, she would look so delightful, soaking wet and breathless and probably laughing- just like he was. He realized this was probably the happiest he had felt in a long time, the first he could remember without thinking about it too much. He realized he enjoyed not having to think about everything and just did what came naturally. He buried his maw in her plush arctic coat and gave a small moan of content. He traced his snout down her soaked neckline, over her jugular, where he paused and gave it a lick with his warm tongue. Then he kissed her muzzle and rubbed his maw on hers, longing to never have less of her scent on him again- although the rain tried defiantly to wash it off.

C’mon, we’d better find some shelter like normal wolves would do

Marx laughed again and stepped off her, or got up if she had pinned him instead. He beckoned her and took off running through the storm as it surged forth thunder and lightening that sent smaller animals running in fear. Marx laughed as he ran, feeling stronger and more confident than he had in a long time.
