At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

'Do you know what brought that feeling on…why it happened? Forgive me if I’m prying too much. Let me know if I’ve asked too much,’ Terrel shook his head slowly three times. His mind gradually worked, corks turning with rusty chains. Why should he keep anything from Mae? It was not as if it was his mistake. It was only his pitiful destiny, Mae already knew him –she would not treat him with difference. “Don’t worry Mae; you are not meddling or anything to that statement. I… guess it’s just fear of losing her and stressful situations always seem to mess with my mind. Sometimes different sights strike more memories into my mind, not pleasant ones – I guess that is what causes these… attacks.” Terrel explained, recalling another time he had lost it. He could not remember the exact wolf but she had been in a weak state, drawing memories from his difficult past. He had freaked out, his lungs rising and falling with desperation. He had left Blossom Forest then for time on his own but he knew he could not last without his home – without his mother. Now it seemed he would have to bare the fate of travelling into the thicket of independency. A soft breeze regained Terrel to his senses, accompanied with fragrances of flowers and herbs.

He had inquired to the pleasant scents that resided on the pirouetting strands of Mae’s hide. Although he had addressed it in an unusual way – ‘you smell pleasant.’ Why had he said that? Terrel’s gaze diverted from her face, his chocolate eyes remained fixated upon the ripples of water that occurred into the lake. Out of the corner of his eyes, Terrel could see her head duck down in what he assumed to be embarrassment. The solider smiled; he was a bit of an idiot but nonetheless she continued to explain her scent. ‘I went to the meadow covered in herbs in the territory. I didn’t stay for long, but I listened for a while to Moth’s information on the properties of various plants.’ The multi-coloured brute nodded, a small smile displayed on his kissers. In truth, he envied her for the chance of learning such a skill – he had always wanted to learn the art of herbs. He understood that it was not her fault, she was not the one who was messed up inside. She wasn’t the one who would probably terrify younger pups into hiding. Her soft laugh rescued him from his cruel thoughts. Terrel’s head tilted curiously as she admitted that she would probably require another lesson.

“There will be other lessons then?” Terrel asked, “I would like to learn that. All I know is that poppy seeds are required for numbing pain. You probably can remember them; in situations I am sure you would be able to recall the useful skills.”

After this, Terrel pressed his nose against the side of her muzzle – breathing in the scents of his friend. Despite what observers would think, the titan only used this interaction as a friendly token. ‘I’m glad you seem to be on the way to sorting things out with her mother.’ Terrel nodded, though he did not admit what he had said to his mother. He would not accept them, only tolerate. The pureness of the water soothed his aching throat, hydrating him.

'revolutionaries wait
for my head on a silver plate
just a puppet on a lonely string
oh who would ever want to be king?'

readers note;; terrel is an unsual character, disorientated from a broken background. he is gentle and kind, though wary towards brutes above the age of two years. when older he will be less confused and more sure of himself, he will gain confidence and go on to raise a treasured family...
