Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

these people keep to themselves,

Had she expected to encounter some long lost relative that day? Did she expect to have any long lost siblings, period? Well, no. As far as she was concerned, her father had only ever taken her mother as his mate - there were no others, no strange cousins or half blood siblings. Nothing - just she, her brother Kavik, and all the others that had either been burnt away or scattered over the landscape as nomads. It was impossible to ignore, though, even though she desperately wanted to - the scent, the eyes, even the fur to some extent all cried out to her. Faol'an. He apparently came to a similar realisation judging by the uneasy silence and she continued to stare, one brow cocked and as expectant as ever. She was tense, there was no denying that, and the sooner she found out whether she was correct or not, the better.

She merely snorted at his comment of not being a ghost, her other brow sliding up and head tilting even further forward for - go on. Even in her less than desirable mood, she could not quite gather the courage to leave. Something was keeping her there, a curiosity she had to quench before she could make her move away. Then who are you? She sighed heavily, rolling her eyes once more before she moved up so that she sat rather than lay, enjoying the brief moment of dominance (perceived, at least) with a small half smile.

"Truly, who taught you your manners or lack thereof? Father was right - there are few gentlemen left in the world."

He had approached, hardly said a word and now he came with such a bland question? Niviaq would have been rolling around in her grave at the mere thought of such manners. Of course, she was no better but who was going to tell her that? Apache had tried, tried so hard, to break through her shell but alas, she was one rock wall after the other. Today, Holo was lucky. The familiarity of him had managed to slip between her bitch-radar and she finally felt like... lightening up. Hell, she even tried to retain that same small smile as she spoke next.

"I'm d'Mani," she finally said, content with the amount of silence she had allowed to pass, "But I think it's only fair that you tell me exactly who you are first, no? Be a gentlemen, come on."

Hardly a convincing enough reason but she... she needed to know, wanted to know. If she turned out incorrect, which she (so thought) seldom was, then she would be able to brief a sigh of relief and carry on with her day. If she were right? Well, that would... it'd be a problem, just another one for her to deal. She could feel each and every muscle beneath her skin tightening, tense with anticipation and nervousness as she awaited, her ears pushed so far forward she could have sworn they would soon ache. Speak now...
