At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

The song continued on, and for that, Blaze was happy. The other girl had a beautiful voice, she couldn't deny it. Still, when Dai finally did rise from her secre hiding place, she had seemed so unaware, making Blaze think she was correct when thinking that Dai was blind. Before long, the girl had slipped back into the side of the bush she sat beside, more soft lyrics meeting the femme's ears. "So sweetly I'll make you smile, This is my tune for the taking, Take it, don't turn away, I've been waiting all my life." She fell silent once more, enjoying the weird pact they had silently come upon. For once, she was grateful that she knew all these songs, so she supposed that was one thing she might as well thank her parents for. It was a short list. Still, she kept her mind trained on the soft lyrics flowing between the two, grateful for the snippet of time that seemed to have grown, separate from the rest of the world. |
