News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

He was rather cute, my youngest son, as he yawns within the confines of my paws. I have become rather taken with his unique star markings, that cover over one of his eyes and speads onto his muzzle. Yes, he has his own patch of stars that is not so overdone. Starfall had quite the abundance of star markings, to be expected for a Dreamwalker, though Guardians is placed in a way I have never seen upon my family before. It is very hard to tear my lemon yellow eyes from his adorable smile as he speaks to me of his little...encounter with some other wolves of Diveen. I must say, I do understand Azrael's concern with letting them roam around. The world is not a safe place. I know that I cannot protect them forever, but i still worry about my Guardian encountering wolves I don't even know within the pack. Maybe that is my fault for not going out and meeting more pack members. Maybe it was Azrael holding me back since he is so...possessive over me, despite not being mates in the traditional sense. I never knew how powerful the female heat was until I was around him...maybe it was this soul bond. Either way, I find that I am not truly...meant for an overly subordinant role in a large pack. Hearing Guardian speak of those other only made me wish for more, so I could know exactly who he was dealing with.

"Guardian, do you think that shoving is the proper way to tell someone not to do something wrong? Shoving isn't a nice way to tell someone to not do something. What could you have done differently?"

Yes, I want my son to be kind to others, but part of me was amused. I like the idea of my Guardian standing up for himself. I still want to raise confident, strong puppies that no one would want to mess with...maybe it is because I never want my boys to be hurt, so them being dominant may scare away others who would do them harm. I don't know. It is a strange thing really, it is what I was taught from birth and I suppose I can never really escape the pack from my past. I rejected some of their ideals while still retaining others. I was, indeed, raised to be a Queen, strong, confident, and even aggressive. I just...toned down the aggression some. It seems that Moladion disliked that and thus gave me Azrael, who can be more than enough aggression for the both of us.

"Now Guardian, if you are ever having doubts about if something you did is right or wrong, I want you to come to me, my son. Always feel okay talking to me about anything, even many, many moons from now when you are as big as me. You promise?"

I said my words softly, lovingly for I turly wished for my son to feel comfortable talking to me about whatever may be troubling him. I don't want him to be screamed and yelled at for something, like my father always did. Instead, I would rather talk him through something. I want to be the one he comes to in order to get a different point of view on a situation. Maybe he would still talk to me freely when he is older. I can only hope...until another female comes into his life and inevitably steals my little boy away. I don't even want to think about that right now.

Guardian then proceeded to be too freaking adorable and I knew he was just trying to steal my heart for himself forever. He lays on his pack, pawing at me playfully and snapping with his jaws. I let out a hearty feminine giggle as I smiled, pushing my muzzle into his belly before nipping gently at his own muzzle. Oh why oh why was my son getting so big? Why must he grow and not stay this small and stay by my side forever? I pull back my head, my beautiful visage looking down upon my playful son as he speaks of how he will be the best. He is his father's son.

"If you practice and keep your mind sharp and willing to learn, you can be the best at anything you want, Guardian."

He cuddles into my chest once more, and I can feel the push of his breathing against me so softly. It wan't to stay calm though, as my words about my own mother seemed to cause panic within my little son. I can feel his young form shifting restlessly and I suppose, he needs to face the fact that these things can happen, and that death will come eventually to all. I look into his stellar blue eyes and I can see just how upset he had really gotten. It wasn't exactly about my own mother though, he was more concerned about me and Azrael. His words were...difficult. Azrael and I, we had a strange sort of relationship. I knew now that he was indeed the mate of my soul, but he had not made any sort of official move...though I suppose the fact that we have puppies together and live in the same den means something. I am just used to the mating rituals of my people...maybe they don't do that sort of thing around here. Hell, I don't know. Many things were different here. Azrael had quite the temper too, and I can see myself getting irritated to the point of leaving him if we came to subject that we absolutely don't agree on. I know that I can be rather stubborn myself, but...I guess we will just have to see. I need my children to have their father close by, so that is what it is for now.

"We don't fight all the time...we just...speak loudly to each other. i will try my best to let your father sleep next to me always, but you don't need to worry, I do not walk in my sleep like your brother does."

I put on a reassuring smile for him on my silkly black muzzle. He promises to stay with him, and for that I am glad. I don't expect him to sleep with his brother forever, but it would be nice if they never...separated too far from each other. Maybe I am being an idealist. Maybe I am just extremely worried for Starfall. Not all Dreamwalkers can keep their sanity in tact. Just knowing that Gurdian was willing to be there for his brother was comforting.

But Guardian was a true puppy, perking up pretty quickly to start attacking my muzzle in play. It seems he wants his hair to stay perfect, but I too much enjoy messing it up. He let out a puppy growl and I laughed with the beauty of a zither. I try to paw at him gently but he lunges past and onto my back. I don't move and turn over or anything, I allow him to have his fun as he ruffles my brilliant dark fur. My tail wags gently behind me, and I don't mind any of this one bit.

"Yes, Azrael is going to be very irritated with us. Let's go back home and show us just how messy our hair can be, so he knows how good we keep it most the time. What do you say?"

It is getting much darker now as the stars begin to peek out of the dark void above. I better get him home before he gets too sleepy to walk back. I know that he would love to spend even just a few minutes with his father before he goes to bed. I stay laying though, since he is on my back, and await his answer with perked ears, which was complimented nicely by Guardian's styling skills.
