Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

I am rather starting to find this male agitating, not only is he the size of a boulder with very little intelligence, as tends to be the way of giant males, yet he also seems to believe he may actually have some talent with words, honestly, he was embarrassing himself- if anything, as well as encouraging me to put a more permanent end to his little tirade. Indeed he is powerfully built, yet he has already admitted himself to being painfully slow, in combination with his age. I am quite sure I could, literally, run rings around this damn fool. Even so, I have hardly finished m agitation of him, having thusly decided that I find his demeanour unpleasant and disrespectful, after all, am I not the greatest king to have ever lived? Yes, I think I am and he should show a little more respect- or at least continue to provide myself with a little more entertainment. I smirked easily once more, violet gaze flicking in amusement at his words.

“No, but you are the oldest.”

One eye raised, baiting him, daring him and thoroughly enjoying myself in this moment, in seeing entirely how far this big lug could be pushed. What was he going to do, sit on me? He seemed an utterly slow creature in more ways than one and truly it has been a long time since I have been given to enjoy such games with another. Then again, few presented such an opportunity for said engagement. I remained seated, tail flicking lightly once more, curious as to his reaction in regards to mention of his child. Evidently he and Sulan did not see eye to eye, the male clearly still harbouring a dislike of his son, anger and agitation evident as he spoke, smirk lacing my lips once more.

“No, I don’t think I will.”

Now aren’t I just nasty? I was out rightly disrespecting him now, I knew exactly where Sulan was and yet had no intention of betraying a wolf once loyal to myself and now loyal to Diveen. I grinned again, teeth flashing in the light, daring him all over again to make my day and try something, I was already rather convinced this male was a fool, potentially dangerous and I had a mind to have him Marked. Yes, perhaps it was better someone came and killed him off, he was bothering me and I had no intention of him discovering Zen. His next words only sealed his fate. Yes, I do think I’ll have him killed…..as for his comment though.

“Really? Because you seem so thrilled with the quality of the single son you fathered. As it is however, I think we’re done here. Good luck finding Sulan, you better start heading back to your pack, at your speed it will take you most of the damn day.”

I lifted easily to my paws, tail flicking dismissively against him as I turned to lope away. Oh yes, I’d have someone get rid of him.
